It just slides back and forth. Used for starting and stopping movement in most apps

They are good enough to trigger the nfc (near feild communication) switch. They are fit into a slot so they don't move around. Except to slide about a 1/4 inch to trigger a change in magnetic feild. Thus you can control your device while it is in the viewer.
