    I just wanted my PS4 slim to send optical audio to my home theater, but I needed this splitter. I wasn't that sure in the beginning to buy it, but it's definitely worth it!

    The product arrived quickly & was very easy to install - it took me less than a minute. I am using it on a Samsung computer monitor with no sound jack into a Roku. This product solves my sound problems - very happy with my purchase.

    My AppleTV only had HDMI without an additional audio output. This product worked great to split the audio from HDMI using an optical toslink cable. Appreciated the short HDMI cable to use from my AppleTV to this device. I then ran an HDMI to my tv and toslink to my pre HDMI stereo receiver. I moved the switch to the 5.1 audio setting and good to go.
