Video quality is fine for me, as is night vision. The software isn't as good as it can do, but if you spend a little more time, you'll get used to it. The smartphone app is great: allows you to view live video from anywhere (using the credentials you set up on the main system), you can also see any point from the recorded timeline, and it's easy to get from live or video Picture or video history right to your smartphone.

These cameras are great value for money. I replaced the brand new Night Owl camera that came with the DVR kit I bought after Thanksgiving. Better color quality, wider viewing angles, better night vision coverage, sharper images, I'm not a camera expert, this is the first time I've installed these DVR units with cameras, it's easy to figure out how to connect them

When we first bought the 4 camera system it was plug and play and it worked great. We added extra cameras and it turned out to be the wrong version. We contacted customer support via email and got the correct information. Everything is fine again. The picture quality and night vision are very clear. I suggest you email customer support asking for the correct link to the other camera to avoid buying the wrong version. Customer support is excellent, and I recommend it if you're having trouble.
