I want to connect this to my Xbox One Optical output, will I get 5.1 audio?

  • If your XBOX has an optical output you will get at the minimum 5.1 Max 7.1, but this box transfer the 5.1 or 7.1 to an analog signal which means Stereo R-L speakers only!

I need to connect a dvr through cbvs(bnc port) and a smarttv by hdmi port, does this converter will be useful?

  • yes, this BNC to hdmi adapter supports CVBS; However, your dvr needs to be set to cvbs signal output and ensure that there is a signal output from BNC port.

Why does this item ship with an ac/dc power adapter when it only takes a usb plug for power? there is no way to power the converter out of the box.
