When you plug it in to charge the usb cord’s end will light up red... ( meaning it’s charging). When it is completely charged the red light will disappear and won’t light up.

I haven't tried the app on my phone yet. But I was able to get the drone to communicate with the remote that comes with it. I turned on the drone 1st let it flash and the controller. I gave it to my grandson for Christmas- so far, he hasn’t had the chance to use it- I’ll let you know when he does, and if the remote works- have you tried returning it?

You get about 8 to 10 minutes of flight time on a fully charged battery and it takes about 50 to 60 minutes to charge. If you want more flying time in between chargings than i would recommend buying additional batteries.

Not that I have opened or played with this item. I bought it as a Christmas present for my father, but the pictures taken by the camera can be transferred from the drone remotely via wifi connection . Is what I am thinking :)

It Flies for about 6-9 Minutes. Longer time if you remove the camera, and remove the guard fins (almost 10 minutes). With the camera you get about 7-8 minutes. When it is Wifi Connected transmitting video to your phone you get about 6 minutes.
