Wow - So far love this little item. I bought it for my 6yo son but I play with it more than he does. It's fast, agile, runs through light grass, handles straight jumps well with the rubberized tires. the included Li-ion battery pack is a 3 cell sealed pack and recharges in about 4 hours (first time 8 hours) with the included trickle charger. run time is apx 10-15minutes depending on how often you are at top speed. the trim control knob on the remote adjust the steering as mine was a little to left most times. easy fix. one thing I did notice is that when doing left turns the wheel would "stick" and I'd have to steer right to get it out. the right turn would return normally. Design wise it's pretty nice. has sealed electronic speed control, brushed motor ( not sealed), and the S912 has metal dogbones in the rear 2WD setup (whereas the S911 I believe did not). the remote takes 2 AA batteries with easily come off with the small included screwdriver. I've run it on our driveway and local street/culdesac after a rain and electronics were fine. took it to the playground where a hugh pile of mulch was sitting ( paydirt!) and kept trying to find the right able to scale it. the smaller angles with went up, the steeper angles it got stuck but the tire treads are not that deep so no worries. reversed it out just fine. the on/off switch is hard to get to so I took a drill and made a nice hole just above it so I can use a small screwdriver or bobby pin to switch it on/off. Pros: -ready to run in box with everything (not like my old Tamiya Blackfoot from 1987..wow) -fast ( not sure it's 33mph as on box but it's fast enough). --> will test later with app to find max speed -decent remote with proportional steering and speed control -tackles light water and light grass ok. Cons: - battery gets HOT - recommend remove after every run, let cool down about 30min, then recharge. this will lengthen battery life ( do not leave attached inside vehicle) extra battery pack would be nice. - on/off switch is hard to get to - must remove pins and the shell and the plastic cage - sticks a little when turning full left -looked like "rust" spots on chassis when received but has no effect on performance. ( is it refurbished?) overall great buy at great price. I wish I had gotten it free or at discount but rather I bought it normally at full price so have no bias review. would love to review more later so let me know what I can do. Looking into getting a bigger rc truck now...

This RC car is really fast and very maneuverable!! The directions leave something to be desired, but not the worst Chinese directions I have encountered. Know that to get at the battery to charge it, you will have to remove the four pins that hold the thin plastic shell to the frame, then unlatch 4 battery cover hold down latches and then remove the battery for charging. Also right next to the battery is the ON/OFF switch, that if you just run the car for a few minutes and don't want to play with it anymore for the day or so, you will have to again remove the 4 hold pins for the shell, unlatch the battery cover latches (4) and then turn off the power switch. Needless to say I will modify this RC car to make it more convenient to charge and to turn it on and off.

i like this car its fast but i have a couple of concerns about it its cheap made i have not played with mine rough i live in a subdivision and i play with it on the road i hit one or 2 bumps and thats it first the bumber broke then my shaft to the wheel came off then the shock broke then the pins are cheap made i keep loosing them and they are to expensive its is $8 for just 4 of them i think thats ridicules. i have to fix all of that and i have had it about 2 weeks but other than that it is great for the price.

I bought it as a birthday gift for my brother who live overseas in Europe! I took it with me to give him as a present. He was so excited then he saw it. I helped him to assemble. We went to an open field with all birthday guests to test it. I took a remote control and start drive this car(about 1 minute) all kids kids was excided how the car runs. Then I gave remote control to my brother and viola ((((( IT STOPPED WORKING for no reason !!!!!! No crashes, no water !!!!!! I try to fix it..... All kids was disappointed !!!! I looked stuped - giving 1 minute present!!!! We went home, I try to recharge the battery, no reaction, I try everything that I can do( btw I'm mechanical engineer in NYC) but no luck!!! And couldn't take it back to returned it! So please BE AWARE then you want to buy this product- cheap quality! ~70$ for a 1 minute toy!!! I'm very disappointed !!!!DO NOT BUY IT!!! Update: Seller was helpful in resolving problem with this car.

This little car is fast! it's very powerful and runs like a beast. A few notes though: the battery isn't lasting too long, maybe 10-15 minutes so be sure to get an extra one. The other issue I have with it is the bumper broke off the first time my kid hit a wall. Yes, it's understandable but I still think that if you make a car so powerful and fast, you need to account for instances like that. Overall a great RC car to play around with in an open field or a parking lot. Runs pretty much on every surface.

Very fast, my son loves this car. Every part seems to be plastic though and designed to fail. Metal gears would help. I've replaced the gearbox twice after he's used it maybe 10 times. A new gearbox on amazon is about $12 and takes about an hour to replace. You basically end up disassemblin the whole rear end and about 30 screws. The cover has very tiny cotter pins, so my son never even put the cover on since it was so difficult to get these pins in and out. The neighbor kid has the exact same car and has all the same issues and has had to replace other parts such as control arms and shocks. Take it to an open parking lot, don't hit anything, and you'll have a blast without it breaking. It will also go through thick grass without too much trouble even with its smooth wheels.

So I just got this car for my 9 year old son. I was looking for a FAST R/C car that wasn't too expensive. I buy most of my stuff on Amazon so naturally that was the first place I started to shop. I found this car for $65 and watched a few videos on it The videos showed that it was a pretty fast car especially for the price. Reading the reviews which were mostly positive I decided to give it a shot. My first impression was the packaging was pretty standard. The first thing you see on the box is 33+ mph. I figured it wouldn't truly be that fast because 33 mph is pretty fast for an R/C car. I have to say that I was pretty happy at how fast the car was on the first ride. The steering is a little sensitive maybe because of the asphalt I was driving it on. But once you get the hang of it you can control it pretty good. Being a police officer I brought out my Laser that I use to clock speeding vehicles on the roadways. Using a freshly charged battery and the car going at full speed in a perfectly straight line, I clocked the car going at a top speed of 19 MPH. Far from the 33+ MPH that the car claims to be. With that being said, yes the car is fast and I am happy with the speed but its is NOT the 33 MPH that it claims to be. My other complaint would be that the range isn't the best either. I do give it 4 stars for the speed of the car and how durable it seems to be especially after launching it over my speed bumps a bunch of times and the car flipping on its roof quite a bit. So overall the is is a nice R/C car at an affordable price. You can't beat the price for the speed of this car. For these reasons I give it 4 stars.

Run really well in the dirt and in the grass like I hoped. It is really quick and has decent controller. My only complaint is that when I push reverse it doesn't always go. I have to hit it a few times and then it finally goes. But not a lot of compaints for something that cost $60. Great car!

This is a fun toy. I bought it for my son who loves it. We did have some parts break, but the company stood behind their product and sent out replacement parts free of charge. Great customer service. I would give 5 stars if it were a little more sturdy. Regardless, my son is having fun with it. Definitely purchase an extra battery for longer play time.

Great, great car! The reason I'm rating it a 4 is because it came with a defective battery pack. Once I ordered and received a new one it ran very well. Lesson to be learned is order an extra battery when you order this car. Best remote control car I've opened. It's fast and comes with easy steering control!
