A This FPV just refers to you can use the SD card to save photos and videos of the aircraft in the aerial, but not real-time transmission. thanks.
The title says X5C-1 but the image of the white one is the X5C. I just ordered two of these and am going to return them if they are not the X5C-1 model. Can anyone confirm that the white one is the updated X5C-1?

Dear Mr. Matthew, The camera could be removed, when remove it, we have to the cable along its connector. Without camera then no use of flash. The total of these is about 50g. So it could fly a little bitter longer. Have nice shopping day. :D… see more Dear Mr. Matthew, The camera could be removed, when remove it, we have to the cable along its connector. It appears nothing is different except the props. The colorful props don't seem as durable though.

Got this for my son for Christmas since it says it would be easy for a beginner. He is only eight and is doing well he can hover it and is working on going over obstacles. It doesn't have a memory card as some said it would for the camera, I'm a little disappointed it's not there. I didn't purchase one since some people said it was included. I didn't have problems with the instructions as some noted. I wish I got him an extra battery as well. I would buy this drone again!

A good first time copter/drone . Order extra batteries because the stock one only lasts about 15 minutes. Only gave it 4 stars because the landing skid broke on the first crash, everything has taken a beating. I let my 8 year old fly it. Camera is ok , if you want HD this isn't for you.

The best! I own several drones including "Hawkeye" products. I found the Syma in a review for the Hawkeye 1 and 2 (which is one of the #1 best sellers for drones) products. Several people would make the statements comparing one drone to the Syma, as I looked at other drone reviews the comparisons to the Syma continue... Almost as if the Syma was the prime standard, the bench mark for all the others,... Well, it is. It is bigger, it flies better, it has better battery life, it is just built better then anything around for the entry level drones, and, what a bargain at less then $100. Out of the box, I charged the battery, put 4 AAs in the remote and turned it on in my living room I lifted it off the floor just to see if it was working (planing to go out side) it was so smooth and just hovered there by my coffee table I just started to fly it around the house. Into the kitchen, did a 180' turn back out 90' turn down the hallway, into a bed room, landed on a bed, took off 180' back out down the hall, and back into the living room where I landed it where the flight started. Perfect flight control. If you want an entry level drone look no further. You will not be disappointed. Forget about FPV, it is over rated and not necessary (and the only option the drone does not have, what is important is this thing works, and works well. I don't fly anything else now, I don't fly my FPV drone anymore.

I love, love, love this quadcopter. I am new to flying quadcopters, but I am having a lot of fun flying the X5C-1. I received this drone for Christmas 2015 and I manage to carve time out of my schedule just about every weekend to practice flying. I have flown toy airplanes and toy helicopters, but flying a quadcopter to definitely not the same experience. Rotating the drone is a huge adjustment because I was use to left/right and up/down controls, but now you add a rotate control. I would not classify this quadcopter as a toy, but it is great for people who are have been curious about drones, but don't know where to start. The X5C-1 has two mode levels of controls, a "Basic" mode and "Expert" level. You should stay in Basic mode until your have experienced flying outdoors with a little wind. Another reason this is a great quadcopter is because the price will not break your pockets. As a bonus, you also get a 2MP HD 720 camera that uses a micro-SD card. The video quality is much better than the image quality, but not bad for the price. If you decide to by this drone, then I would also recommend buying additional batteries with charger. BTG 3.7V 680mAh Battery 6PCS & 6 In 1 Battery Charger for Syma X5C X5SW X5C-1 X5SC X5SC-1 If you are looking to learn how to fly a drone and eventually go better and more advanced, then the X5C-1 is a great starting point. You will not be disappointed. If you happen to fly too high and you lose it in the wind, the good news is that you didn't spend a few hundred dollars.

You have to be kidding me at this price I cannot believe how great this is and how nice it flies and gracefully crashes with no harm LOL .First is is unreal how long it runs on that tiny battery. (Buy more now to extend your fun.) When I opened this up I thought it was a joke. How could this be real. I figured another round of frustration. Gigantic pleasant surprise! Switching from a helicopter to this is a bit weird because this does not spin on it's own axis, BUT it does go ANY direction. You will tend to keep it 4 directions. It has Very bright RED and Green lights so you know what end is what while flying. It flies just perfect! I fly it like I have a death wish! I dive bomb things, and I have run it up so high I almost had to worry about planes! I am totally serious to say I have flown it a block away from my house! It was still in range! . You can really get good with this and accurate at flying. I was threading it through utility lines for fun. Diving under trees and even floating it around friends windows to mess with them. The lights are very bright making it obvious. I did crash into some trees, The motors kick out to save it,from damage. So have a long pole. I noticed the blade guards have a part juting out that catches things. I cut them off! Its just two tips off each guard that I cut off. now there is less tangling. At the end of your flight the lights will indicate your battery is low and to land. You cannot wait to fly it again! If you order the batteries like I did, you won't have to! Be aware, you can fly this right out of sight! So put your name on it! I took the camera off and do not use it so I have no answers for you on that! I am not into that. Just flying for fun and this kills my Cravings!

I have a 1 acre back yard surrounded by tall trees. About an hour ago I apparently exceeded the range limit. The drone is sitting in one of those trees. Maybe in the fall when all the leaves are gone, I'll see it. The thing works really well, just keep it within about 30 yards max from the controller. It is really durable for as light as it is. It is also the perfect trainer for teaching yourself how to maneuver at various headings, since it has no headless mode. For example when it is pointed at you, you push the control to the left to move the drone to your right. They say you should not fly this outside unless there is no wind. Here again, it is a good trainer for flying in light winds. I'll agree, it is too light for strong gusty winds, but on days where the winds are, say, less than 5 knots, the drone can handle them once you learn how to react. All in all, for the money, this thing is way more useful for learning how to fly drones than other products costing 2,3, or 4 times as much. I got some extra batteries. The thing only flies for about 6 minutes with the camera on.

I bought four of these for my sons ages 22, 25, 32 and 35. They took awhile to program the propellers so they would fly straight. Provided hours of fun over Christmas. There is a learning curve to using them. Banged into things and landed in trees and didn't break, so that is a positive thing. They loved them and I think with some practice they fly better. Didn't use the built in camera yet. Will keep you posted.

It says to fly in calm conditions but on dual rates (high maneuverability, gotten by hitting top left button on transmitter til it beeps twice; one beep is stock and single rates for less maneuverability), it can go 25 mph. It's a blast fighting a 20 mph wind. Keep it in front of the wind and away from trees and other obstructions. It's very crash resistant and the best plane I've flown out of many others. It's at least as easy to fly at night as in daylight due to the lights. Tips: 1. make the transmitter show on its screen it's in mode 2 so you can fly it more easily (stock is mode 1; to switch to mode 2, push lower right trim tab to the right as you turn on transmitter; following assumes you're in mode 2) 2. keep the green lights pointed toward you pretty much at all times by moving right stick right or left to rotate quad. The brighter green lights are easier to see at a distance, and with green lights showing, remember "left is left and right is right," i.e. left stick left moves quad left, and left stick right moves quad right. Also, remember "green come to papa" meaning if you see green, quad will come to you if you pull the right stick back toward you, and quad will move away from you if you move right stick forward, away from you.

This quadcopter is wonderful for beginners. It is cheap enough to be replaced if it is lost and spare parts are easily available and inexpensive if it is damaged. It seems relatively well put together and the camera is decent for the price. Don't expect to get any amazing aerial video though because the camera is just for fun. It flies pretty well and is very light. Given how light it is, some people who are inexperienced may have flyaways. This often happens if the quadcopter gets caught in a thermal, which is a rapidly rising column of hot air. If the copter is in a thermal, you will notice that it will not descend, even if the throttle is very low. Don't cut the power, instead, move the quad copter slightly forward and then descend in a corkscrew. Overall, this quadcopter is perfect for beginners as it is big enough for outdoor flight but still small enough for indoor flight in large rooms.

The copter is fun but the battery that came with it Excellent quad for someone learning to fly. The flight times are short but there are batteries out there that will stretch times to 10 minutes or so. The camera is not the best quality but I still HIGHLY recommend this quad if you want to learn to fly drones without a huge investment. I've crashed it into walls and the ground several times and never even had to change the blades, and it comes with extras, a lot of fun and not a lot of money!!wouldn't take a charge after the first use.

very great for a beginner the downfall is that once you put the guards on the quad copter it does eat up the battery. the company itself did not give me a tracking number of any sort. the range is very good when flying up to the air. so far I have taking it out quite a few times the battery does last about 10 minutes. the controller is pretty good but that the actual joysticks is a little touchy. there is a slight delay in the controller to the quad copter. the packaging itself was really good it did come with the charging cord and a basic tool set with a couple extra propellers. flying the actual quadcopter is fairly easy once you get the hang of it I do advise getting a couple more batteries. the video quality is not too bad but the card itself does up pretty quickly. after flying the quad copter in the sky going straight up it has arranged or a top out range of 350 feet, then it starts to lose control then falls from the sky. that is all I can think of right off the top of my head thanks for reading this! Happy flying!
