If you are looking for a manual flash and don't need full power all the time it is a good deal. RF trigger works well with the YN RF603C triggers. Some reviews complain about failures but the instructions say not to use full power continually. Not a problem I find 1/8 or 1/4 good for most off camera shots used for fill lighting bouncing off large modifiers or direct from a distance. Sometimes using ND filters to get the wide open f stop look.

Didn't notice this flash was manual, not TTL, when I bought it, so I regret purchasing it. It would be nice if this was made clearer in the description. Seems to work ok, but without a spotmeter it takes some adjusting to get the settings right. I am keeping it to use as a slave flash in the future.

Its a great flash for the price. Plenty of power and easy to navigate the menus. I bought this to be a slave unit for my Canon 600ex-rt and it works well, but only if you can get a clear line of sight to the optical flash. I have had difficulty trying to use this in slave mode in a soft box.

This flash has great coverage, fast recharge, and battery seems to last long. I however found that it does not work with the wireless transmitter, and does not work on camera. I was mostly disappointed that it did not work on camera like some others do. Overall flash does what it needs to do to give you good looking photos.

I dropped my speedlight a week before an important shoot. Yes, I should have had a back up but I'd rather spend my money on glass than an extra flash. So, with some reservation I ordered the Yongnuo YN 560 III. Over the years I've read so many mixed reviews but at the price I didn't have too much too lose. First of all, the flash arrived a day early, which was a blessing. My other flash was manual as well so I didn't miss the TTL. I fired it up and started shooting like crazy so I could get used to it. It's got POWER. I'm so happy with my purchase. I will be purchasing a couple more after the summer. If there is any reservation it's will the shoe mount. Seems a bit flimsy but we'll see how it performs over the next couple of months. Have no problem recommending this flash.

How can you go wrong. I actually bought this for a friend but "tested" it for a few days. The down sides are that it has limited controls and no ETTL but these are not deal breakers. The unit works well and for money buy two incase one goes bad. I actually got the USA warranty model. I may buy the ETTL version.

Good slave wireless flash. i am a novice photographer but it was very cool to remotely trigger this flash. Essentially i've doubled my flash outputs (on-camera) and wireless (yongnuo). There are plenty of flash reviews on this product it works as it should paired with T5i no additional equipment required just 4AA batteries.

This speedlight has stepped up my photography game for sure. All manual controls are great for full control. I only have to use one RF-603 on the camera and I can have the flash anywhere. The only issue I've run into is that I couldn't figure out how to set it up to fire right from the hot-shoe. I have a D90 and for some reason it won't fire. Though I didn't need to set anything to have the camera fire the wireless trigger? I really like it anyway.

Have been looking for a flash for a while, Bought this one on a friend's suggestion. Put batteries in (brand new out-of-the-package energizer MAX), turned it on, and immediately the low battery indicator was flashing. tried taking one picture, and it shuts off with the low-battery indicator flashing. Very frustrating. Tried rechargeable AAs after a full charge and got the same result. Friend came over and assured me that I was not doing it wrong, took the batteries out of their flash (which was working fine) and put those batteries in this flash. Same result. Shut off with battery warning flashing. Sending it back, :( I was really excited about this addition to my photography. Really wanted this one for this price, so I ordered it again after sending it back. Second one is working as it should on my Canon Rebel T2i. Makes indoor shooting possible even though I really prefer natural lighting.

This is a great flash for beginners/hobbyist/weekend warrior strobists. I loved the power it has given the price and decent battery life/recycles. Build quality is also decent considering the price. There is very little documentation in the manual and overall the interface is cumbersome, that is biggest problem for me, otherwise works exactly as advertised and you get a little more than what you pay for.

The choices of flash units are many, but only a few decisions needed to be made to settle on the newest Yongnuo model in the well-established YN560 line. Once I saw that the TTL option was out of budget range (and the critiques mentioned that TTL does not consistently fire or adjust the flash appropriately), there were only less than a half dozen manual flashes suitable for Pentax K30 or K50 cameras. This one is a sturdy build, the flash head swivels very securely, and the lighted display is simple enough for me to use the flash on an assignment later that week. The flash is heavier than some, but it fits securely on the camera. It comes complete with a fabric case and a base mount. The instructions are a bit skimpy, but there are plenty of videos one can find on using and testing this flash unit.
