You will not be disappointed with the performance of this controller. For the money you really can't beat it. The R/C simulation program that the controller is packaged with is basic, functional and perfect to practice most of the requirements to successfully fly a Radio Controlled Helicoper or Airplane. The simulation program has several models of aircraft and helicopters to choose from, to enhance the flying experience. You can also easily adapt this controller to other flight simulators quite easily. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to get into the R/C world of aviation. If you don't believe me, just crash one plane or copter and see how much time it takes, and costs to fix it. Crash a simulated bird, and just hit the reset button and you're ready to try again, with no money out of pocket!!! That's what I call a bargin!!!

If your looking for a cheap controller that works with Phoenix this is it. This will work with Phoenix up to version 4s. Do not upgrade to version 5. If you upgrade to ver 5 you will lose the use of the emulator that allows this controller to work. Make sure you have it calibrated in the windows calibration screen before launching Phoenix. Takes a little messing around to get it to work but definitely worth it. Have not tried it with any other software but if it works with Phoenix what more do you need.

I bought this controller to use with PicaSim and some other RC flight simulators. I also wanted to see if I could get it to control boats in Virtual Skipper 5 (VSK5). The controller worked great with all of the free RC simulators I tried which included PicaSim, Clearview($), CRRC, RAS, and RC AirSim. The method to configure the settings for the controller vary in each simulator, but in each it was fairly easy to define the axis for the various control surfaces with a couple needing a check by the invert option to have the expected action from the sticks. One thing I noticed about the controller that was a bit of an issue was the jitter of the axis controlled by the knob on the top right of the controller. When I configured Virtual Skipper 5 to use the controller, I would click the mouse on the set tiller control menu option and VSK5 would immediately assign the control to the knob as that axis was seen as active due to the jitter which is how VSK5 expects to be told which control to use by looking for activity on that stick. I finally got the right controls selected by calibrating the controller using the Windows 10 joystick controller application and making sure I had the knob set at a location where jitter was not seen and then reconfiguring the controls in VSK5. VSK5 worked well with the controller, but you have to realize that VSK5 only needs the tiller and boom/sail control where my actual model yacht uses the same controls along with the knob axis for trimming the jib. I am pleased with the controller for my purposes. The only thing I could wish for, which is a problem for all RC based controllers that I am aware of, are some joystick buttons so I could change views and activate other options while playing VSK5, but I think the practice I can get with VSK5 using a joystick controller like my actual RC controller will ultimately improve my RC skills on the water.

Product came with mini disc that includes the FMS R/C simulator and some PDF instruction manuals but I decided to use the free version of the Clearview R/C sim (Clearview SE) out of personal preference. The control is plug and play, as windows update found a driver as soon as I plugged it in to my computer. Again, this worked without the slightest issue on my Windows 7 64bit machine. As far as the physical quality of the control goes, it's about on par with every other radio that comes in RTF planes. I highly suggest using any simulator though before flying your new plane as crashing an R/C plane on your computer is much less damaging and expensive than crashing a real one.

Software would not work, Controller would not work on my Windows 10 laptop. I just wanted the controller to use with Clearview, but no matter what I tried, it just would not work. Will be returning. Update: My son got the controller working for me. Very simple for him - I had selected USB input on the setup and they would not work. He tried the only one I had not selected (PPM) and away it went. Go figure. At first glance it now works exactly as I expected. I would give it 5 stars if the software worked, But now I don't care because Clearview works good.

kind of a pain to install and setup, but once it's done it's done and it's a good program for the price. other models and scenery can be obtained online from various forums, etc, it's a very simple program. controller is somewhat flimsy and cheap, but that is to be expected for the price, works well though once calibrated to the simulator. graphics are good and it doesn't lag, can zoom in and out on the model while flying, has a camera chase view for fpv style flying, some models work and others don't, I think it had to do with the program version purchased, i have beta 7, it seems there is a lot more available for the alpha 8 version. I really want to build an FPV RC plane now, I have several helicopters and multirotor UAVs, and I got this to add some experience with flying planes, and sharpen my skills flying without auto-leveling. some models even have gyro assistance in the programming, i prefer not to use it, but there is a whole lot more to this simulator than I expected. I installed it and now I'm addicted, lately i spend more time flying the simulator than flying my real models! there isn't a better offer out there, this was worth every penny. great way to get into RC aircrafts without dumping a fortune into the process, and other well acclaimed simulators run between $300-$500, plus to use an expensive simulator, you need a handheld transmitter to use with the simulator if you don't already have any, you need a serial communication link between the USB port and the transmitter, and the communication cables, then onto installing drivers and such, it's a big process. this little kit with the FMS simulator is much easier to set up and get flying than that. the installation is in broken english and folders are not named exactly what the instructions say, so pick the folders closest to what the instructions say, you'll need 7zip to extract multiple zipped items at the same time from the cd to the directory. for example, not sure exactly what it was called, but the instructions said to extract the contents of the landscape folder on the CD to C:\program files\FMS\landscape, but the folder wasn't actually called "landscape" it was called "scenery" or something like that. just be aware of this, it's not very difficult, but somewhat misleading during the installation process.

RealFlight and other commercial sims are getting crazy with their prices, and cutting edge graphics aren't necessary to learn and practice flying. So I bought this and tried it with the free software Picasim. Since this controller shows up in windows as a standard joystick, it worked! We now hand this around to new flyers. I took off a star because the product does feel really cheap (most bits are thin plastic, the unit is very light) especially when next to the interlink controller that came with RealFlight basic. In fact, I was so afraid that it would break that I got a different controller for my kids.

The controller is great however there were no other connectors in the box as described, hence only 4 stars. If you are running an o/s greater than xp then throw the software disc away. It's plug and play so connect it to your computer and let it do its own thing and it will eventually find the drivers for it. It works great with Windows 8.1 and Phoenix 5 after a small amount of configuration. As stated in previous reviews, the usb cable is very short and the connecter is very flimsy. So I would recommend a USB extention cable and be very careful with the usb connecter as I accidentally knocked it and it fell apart. I was able to repair it and wrapped it with insulating tape to strengthen it. After all said and done, for the price its a real bargain. I'm now honing my skills as an rc pilot

Works on my MacBook Pro Retina running the latest (Mavericks) OSX with CGM rc Heli Simulator (neXt) (version 1.315). Not really sure how well it works, as the feel is very different than that of my DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus controller, but I like it better than trying to use my old joystick. No idea how well it will hold up, I've only had it for a week or so and used it for a few hours, so far. -- Also works fine on my Mac Mini with the same sim. After I got it configured correctly with the neXt sim, and learned that the "Mix" switch should stay "OFF", it worked better. Still think it is different than my "real" RC controller, but that cannot be help. It's a little "creaky" but over I find it very, very usable. I've upped my rating from 3 to 4 stars (or at least tried to).

Got this to use with freeride FPV to practice without the wear and tear on my quadcopters. It serves this purpose well. The first thing I had to do though was take it apart (six screws) and get rid of the ratcheting throttle. There is a small stamped piece of metal with a little bump that clicks into a tiny plastic gear. I took that off and flipped it upside down and screwed it back in place. Perfect The plastic case over the USB plug itself quickly split apart. I think some super glue should fix that easily enough. All in all, great value for the money. If you don't have a transmitter that connects to a computer or you are just starting out, I think this is a great option. I learned how to fly acro very quickly without all the lipo charging, prop replacing, and possibly worse.

I purchased the Dynam USB RC Simulator  New RC Tech 6 CH Flight Simulator Remote Control w/ Software for Helicopters/ Airplanes  to use with Clearview flight simulator. It has been a blast! It has really motivated me to get involved with my local RC club and work towards flying a real airplane. I have Windows 7 x64 and the controller worked correctly with the Clearview software. I would recommend buying the Clearview software, There is free downloadable flight simulators but they suffer from poor physics.

If you would like to operate this simulator for an RC heli with MAC OSX I have good news for you. Read on. Firstly the software download for this sim is not essential or exclusive. The software is a part of the product for the sim but it is not limited to that software only. That said, once you have the sim transmitter in your hands you can download for FREE an application from the Apple store that will work with it. I know it works because I bought the sim originally for use with Parallels, ( a virtual machine to operate Windows on my Mac). I veered away from Parallels because it's purpose in providing a go between for the simulator to work in Windows was not needed. My search quickly went in another direction towards OSX based apps and I found an alternative for operating this sim in OSX. Here is the solution for all Mac users. Purchase the sim. Go to the Apple store and type in CGM rc heli simulator. A lite version will pop up and is free to download. You will need OSX 10.6.6 minimum. The information reads that it is compatible to operate a windows simulator with the app which is true. Download it, open, and plug in the sim's USB and It will function with the software. That's it. The type of heli that comes with the free app is a T-rex 700E which is a very nice heli and the graphics are very good. If you decide you would like to purchase the full app, it's also there. So go ahead on feel confident about this sim, there's an app for Mac that's ready when you are. Cheers

Excellent for what it is. Setup was fairly easy with ClearView. I have no complaints about the simulator remote and was able to hone my RC skills after to graduating from the Champ and prior to flying the ParkZone Ultra Micro T-28. Once I got out in the field, after practicing for a few hours with this unit, I was immediately able to fly without any mishaps which would have cost me the plane, Paired with ClearView, this is the perfect training tool. Well enough constructed and fulfills its purpose well.

I bought this (April 2013) mainly for the controller. The FMS free downloadable software isn't even available for download anymore. So I downloaded Clearview SE (free) at [...] and paid $3.99 for my Blade MCPX heli. It took me a while to figure out how to calibrate and set up this USB controller to Clearview SE, but I finally figured it out. Here's how I have this controller set up on Clearview: Select PPM as the controller Throttle: (Reverse) Z Axis Rudder: Z Rotation Aileron: X Axis Elevator: Y Axis Enable Stick Auto Centering when model is reset to initial position. IdleUp/Flaps Off Y Rotation Off Y Rotation Throttle Hold/Gear Off X Rotation Off Button 0 Set the Gyro switch towards you and the Mix switch away from you, and turn the Gear knob to halfway on this controller. After making these selections, be sure to Calibrate your controller, with right stick at middle and left stick all the way down for heli. Enjoy!

Bought this Rc Tech Flight simulator for FPV Freerider. I worked as expected. I then purchased Liftoff not knowing if it would work. It took some time getting the controller set up on this game. But after numerous times calibrating I finally got it working properly. Couldn't be more happy with this controller for $25. Per the reviews I didn't even try the original software it came with. But that wasn't why I bought it for anyways. Hopefully these simulators can save me some money when I get my real drone flying.

I bought this one because I was disappointed with the first RC sim transmitter I purchased here which was made by Volantex. The Volantex one had big null zones in the center of all the axis's so it was impossible to learn to fly helicopters on. This one made by Dynam is excellent! There's no dead zones in the center and it works with windows 8.1. The only thing I don't like is that the trim tabs move too easy, so it's easy to accidentally bump them into a new position without knowing. My sim found this transmitter without a problem and setting up the axis's and buttons in the sim went smoothly. I only gave it 4 stars because of the 'slippery' trim tabs.

Ok...very good alternative to the much more expensive RealFlight and Phoenix. I would recommend not even cluttering up your computer with the included stuff..if it works at all. Go ahead and download the demo of ClearView or another similar one (I happened to use ClearView). Demo will show you if you want to invest in buying the software...which you probably will. If you take the plunge it will cost you $39.95 You will get tons of models, tons of ability to modify it, make your own flying fields if you want....lifetime license, upgrades, user defined models etc. I will say that I don't think the physics or model part is as accurate as RealFlight (I borrowed a friends and was using it, wanted to buy it but didn't want to spend almost $200 even though it is pretty darn cool. Again...do your research, reviews and if you want to spend the $30 on this tx and then get a demo etc...prob enjoy it and learn some rc flying without breaking your models nearly as much which gets darn expensive!

Doesnt come with software, but theres alot of freebie's like helisimrc, FMS 2.0 beta 7, heli-x40, Clearview (Free demo .. full version is 55.00 But this one is nice I think) hard to configure but they all are. For the prices it a good simulator and it has saved me a ton of money in transition from co-axial heli's. Use it everyday. Gave it lower stars because its so hard to configure sometimes ... Its almost like u have to hold your mouth right when configuring lol. But once u get it configured .. Keep using that simulator software and dont install others because this messed mine up for a week.

I am new to RC and RC flight simulators. This product does not run on Windows 10 without some additional activity: (1) set aside the software that arrives with a Dynam 6 Channel RC Controller and download a newer version of the "FMS" (Flying Model Simulator) software (at: ...); then, (2) download and save a file not included with, but needed by FMS (go to: (...), then download D3DRM.DLL and save it in the FMS program folder). Dysam has a user manual available online that seems clearer than the one that came with the product. See: (...) This product now works with our Windows 10 configuration and will meet my basic need to learn how to control a RC plane...without costly crashes. This product is considerably less expensive than other products (examples: Clearview, Phoenix, Great Plains Real Flight, etc.) that appear to be far easier to configure and with better graphics (I downloaded a demo copy of Clearview). Were I to do this all over, I would probably simply purchase a simulator controller compatible with FMS.
