I've not, nor do I plan to try it with the included software. You have to be sure to calibrate it correctly and make sure to keep the Mix switch (on the upper right) set to OFF if you are trying to fly a quad-copter sim. I hope to try it soon with a few other sims, as neXt is a bit limited. see less

Don't know. Probably. I suggest you Do a online search with that question. There will be some answer there for you

The simulator only has airplanes, jets, gliders and two helicopters. If flying a heli helps then....After reading prior answers,I would like to say I learned several stunts and polished my skills on it and I still use it every now and then.

By kevin on February 28, 2018
I think i had to have a separate software for the simulator. The CD that it supplied is the driver's for the remote if I remember correctly.
By Nessarose on March 7, 2018
I did not install the supplied software, instead I purchased Clearview online which is compatible with Windows 8.

This product did not come with the software as advertised. Excellent customer service for the returns. Before I returned it, I went online to Xheli.com and found software then downloaded the software from their link. Followed the instruction from the weblink. The controller and the software work great. It will definitely save me a lot of money in repairs before I fly my RC helicopter.

This fly simulator is perfect for what I was looking for. To learn flying RC helis. No complain aboit it. does not have tthe huge resolution that other most expensive simulators have but is more than enough to learn. A very good option for the money expended. Excuse my english but I am not from USA.

You will not be disappointed with the performance of this controller. For the money you really can't beat it. The R/C simulation program that the controller is packaged with is basic, functional and perfect to practice most of the requirements to successfully fly a Radio Controlled Helicoper or Airplane. The simulation program has several models of aircraft and helicopters to choose from, to enhance the flying experience. You can also easily adapt this controller to other flight simulators quite easily. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to get into the R/C world of aviation. If you don't believe me, just crash one plane or copter and see how much time it takes, and costs to fix it. Crash a simulated bird, and just hit the reset button and you're ready to try again, with no money out of pocket!!! That's what I call a bargin!!!

If your looking for a cheap controller that works with Phoenix this is it. This will work with Phoenix up to version 4s. Do not upgrade to version 5. If you upgrade to ver 5 you will lose the use of the emulator that allows this controller to work. Make sure you have it calibrated in the windows calibration screen before launching Phoenix. Takes a little messing around to get it to work but definitely worth it. Have not tried it with any other software but if it works with Phoenix what more do you need.

I bought this controller to use with PicaSim and some other RC flight simulators. I also wanted to see if I could get it to control boats in Virtual Skipper 5 (VSK5). The controller worked great with all of the free RC simulators I tried which included PicaSim, Clearview($), CRRC, RAS, and RC AirSim. The method to configure the settings for the controller vary in each simulator, but in each it was fairly easy to define the axis for the various control surfaces with a couple needing a check by the invert option to have the expected action from the sticks. One thing I noticed about the controller that was a bit of an issue was the jitter of the axis controlled by the knob on the top right of the controller. When I configured Virtual Skipper 5 to use the controller, I would click the mouse on the set tiller control menu option and VSK5 would immediately assign the control to the knob as that axis was seen as active due to the jitter which is how VSK5 expects to be told which control to use by looking for activity on that stick. I finally got the right controls selected by calibrating the controller using the Windows 10 joystick controller application and making sure I had the knob set at a location where jitter was not seen and then reconfiguring the controls in VSK5. VSK5 worked well with the controller, but you have to realize that VSK5 only needs the tiller and boom/sail control where my actual model yacht uses the same controls along with the knob axis for trimming the jib. I am pleased with the controller for my purposes. The only thing I could wish for, which is a problem for all RC based controllers that I am aware of, are some joystick buttons so I could change views and activate other options while playing VSK5, but I think the practice I can get with VSK5 using a joystick controller like my actual RC controller will ultimately improve my RC skills on the water.
