work from home. Because of this I have a lot of conference calls. I tested this with my colleague the other day and was comfortably able to pace at around 8 feet away and still be heard fine on the other end. The touch screen buttons for volume, mute, end call etc all work flawlessly with my windows computer using Skype for business (formerly Lync). The lights that surround it to show if you are muted and battery levels as well as volume are also a wonderful feature. Over time this thing will more than be worth the investment. I haven't tried Bluetooth connections as I don't have much use but don't know why it wouldn't be a nice additional feature. Very happy.

I have had good luck with the performance and sound quality of two Jabra 710 units running in linked mode and placed in the center of a large U-shaped table configuration in a large conference room space. The microphone pickup quality of the units is able to capture the discussion of participants at the table, and also of the presenter standing at the front of the room giving a presentation. Participants do sound more "distant" the further away from the units they happen to be sitting, but are still quite audible and clear. Sounding distant doesn't matter to my use case, but sounding clear matters a whole lot. In the configuration that I use, I also equip the person presenting with a stick microphone connected to speakers in the ceiling of this particular conference room, so that the presenter's voice is amplified even more, and the Jabra 710 units pick this up well. But even without this extra step, the people dialing in are able to hear the presenter clearly. As to the clarity and volume of the speaker output of these Jabra 710 units, those of us sitting in the room are very easily able to hear clearly the voices of those who have dialed in, to the degree that the speakers on these units are better sounding than on most of the in-room table top phones more commonly found in smaller conference rooms. I also recommend ensuring that the units are placed at a "table top" level that is planar to the table height of the table at which your meeting participants will be sitting.

I'm writing this review so that others might learn from my experience. I got a pair of these and they were easy to setup and relatively intuitive. Unfortunately my voice was faint over calls. I was going to return them until I decided to see if there was a firmware upgrade possible for these units. Turns out after installing the Jabra Direct software my units (and the dongles) had firmware updates available. After the firmware update, the units worked perfectly. Once the units were upgraded I found them easy to use whether I was using the wired USB, the USB dongle or Bluetooth. They work well up to 10' apart and have been a great tool to use in a conference room. While the price is prohibitive, if you need wireless conferencing with two microphones, this is a pretty good way to go.

I’m very happy with this eMeet product. This Luna speakerphone has excellent sound quality and so far the microphone is very clear is what I get as feedback. The design is compact and nice and the device is easy to operate (Bluetooth, VoiceIA, Volume buttons, battery). I have used it now for one-on-one call meetings and music listening and for both, the Luna is very satisfying. I expect it will do well for group meetings too. I have been using the eMeet USB speakerphone before and that has never disappointed me, but now hearing the sound quality of the Luna, its definitely an improvement. On top of that the Luna works excellent with the Bluetooth. There are 3 different ways to connect the speaker; USB cable, USB dongle and BT. All work very well and no worries loosing the dongle as it fits in the back of the speaker. Battery life when it’s connected to BT looks good, after few meetings totaling over 2hrs of conversations is still 3/4 full.

As a consultant, I'm always on my mobile phone in meetings. But sometimes, in those long conference calls, you really need the mute/unmute control and the assurance that you are (or aren't!!) muted. This little speaker has completely erased my fumbling with my phone to unmute myself when I'm asked a question and gives me peace of mind when I have to multitask. Lights are clear and easy to understand, setup was almost instant. Padded zip case makes it very easy to slip into a bag. And if you need privacy (but still want the great mute/unmute visibility) there's a headphone out. I love this little thing!
