Feels light and cheap, but it's actually pretty sturdy and the battery lasts quite a while. It worked on my Chromebook even though I use it primarily on my Windows machine. Not a fan of the huge USB dongle, and the beep is annoyingly loud but fortunately you can scan a programming code into it to lower the volume or eliminate the beep altogether. I highly recommend using the programmable features to suit your needs. Ergonomically speaking, I prefer using this at home to my $250 Bluetooth Opticon.

This works well. I tried a different bar code scanner (cheaper) and had to send it back because it would not fit in the supplied cradle. This scanner is very light and easy to use since you are not tethered by the USB cable. I should have purchased this one to begin with. One tiny quibble; the USB dongle supplied is a little wide and will use up two ports if you are using a USB hub where the ports are close together. Other than that, a great little scanner.

This is a great scanner. It arrived on time and worked right out of the box. All we needed to do to set it up was to plugin in the USB dongle; installed quickly by itself - and then start scanning. To scan, all you need to do is open up the document where you need the information and scan items. It is like a keyboard and puts the code for what you scan in the document. For Excel documents, it puts each entry in the cell below the previous scan. Price-wise, this one is the best deal going. We conducted extensive research into Barcode Scanners. The price ranges are huge. For our needs we required a 1D scanner that would scan items. This completely achieves that purpose. In addition, there are many options for what happens when you scan items. For example, you can have the scanner store the data until you are ready to upload it to a computer or you can have it upload the data as you scan. Overall, we are extremely pleased. We did not spend an arm and a leg and got something that works for us out of the box.

Awesome little tool. I've had the older model symbol scanner for years and finally decided to try this one out. I should have done it a long time ago. The other geeks give me the stink-eye when we're doing a 1,200 unit roll out and they're double-verifying serial numbers manually. I just run down the row... beep beep beep beep beep and I'm done in about 1 minute. lol. Driver Compatibility: I'm sure your mileage will vary, but it's installed on two Windows 10 Pro machines for me with absolutely no driver downloads needed. It's just been plug and play and I'm up and running in seconds.

I selected this item because it was compact and wireless. The wireless barcode scanner arrived on time and was nicely packaged. It arrived with the wireless barcode scanner, a usb-charging cord that plugs into any usb port, a usb receiver, and instructions. The instructions were clear and included troubleshooting which I appreciated, because at first my laptop did not connect but after following the suggestion solution it worked seamlessly and has continued to. I've had the scanner for almost two weeks now and use it almost daily for a few hours at a time and have not had to charge yet since the initial charge. I appreciate the sound cues that let me know when the device is on and connected and the beep to let me know if the upc was detected. This scanner is also VERY light weight. Great product!

I'm building a book library database (both professional and personal) and entering data into a spreadsheet is tedious at best so I decided to use a barcode scanner to read the ISBN of each book. My initial unit was USB connected and I could not find the proper set of setup barcodes to produce a 13-digit ISBN. Returned that and bought this one. After charging it overnight using the supplied USB charging/data cable I inserted the receiver in my linux desktop. The receiver is seen as a joystick, equivalent to a keyboard. Scan of one book to an open text file resulted in a 13-digit ISBN and a newline. I walked to an office bookcase, pulled out a few books and scanned the barcode on the back cover of each. The scanner works perfectly. I suppose it recognizes the barcode type and correctly processes it to a line of text. Highly recommended for both business and personal use.
