I bought MARK RYDEN backpacks for my twin daughters for school this year. They chose the bug one (Blue) and the horse one (pink). I also got the matching lunch bags. They are all very cute and well made. The fabric is nice and durable. All but the horse backpack have the big teeth durable plastic zippers (not sure why the one backpack has a different one). Zippers are the first thing to go on backpacks, but these seem really durable. The outside pocket of the backpack has a few smaller pockets inside, including one with a zipper. The lunch bags are great -- VERY roomy. I like to use Rubbermaid reusable juice boxes and sandwich holders, and they both fit in there just fine with extra room for fruit or chips. The juice box holder is an elastic strap with Velcro, so it will hold any container securely in place. Plus, there is a mesh Velcro pouch on the inside of the lid for a small ice pack. They also have an adjustable shoulder strap. No one has the same backpack as they do at school, and they get compliments on them ALL THE TIME. Kids like them because they are cute and adults like them because they last.

My kids are pretty small, I really didn't want to load them with a huge back pack. I needed it to be manageable for them, and this is the perfect size! It fits a regular size folder easily plus all the other stuff they need to pack! My son packs all his snow clothes, minus his coat, extra shoes, his show-n-tell, folder and library book in there! There's not much room for anything else, but it's all in there and he can easily get it in his self. I haven't had any problems with tearing or ripping. He's used it for 2 years now, no problems. I have thrown it in the washer and it cleans right up. I loved his so much that I bought one for my daughter. They are super nice! Highly recommend!

My youngest is a girl but she loves blue anything and have been asking to get a backpack like her sister's. This designed totally screamed "her" and the bonus along pack is also made of quality for such low price! The zipper opens and closes fine which I first checked as most cheap backpacks tend to fail there first. The seams have no issues and looks to last awhile. Sure, I'm not respecting this pack to last 15 years but hoping for a few at least.

My 4yr old daughter is starting Pre-Kindergarten this year. While searching for a nap mat, I saw that MARK RYDEN made matching backpacks & other accessories. I figured that would help my daughter keep track of her stuff, so I ordered the coordinating nap mat, backback, & lunch box. I originally purchased this backpack in the 12 inch size but I quickly realized it was to small the fit the teacher communication folders that the school assigns each child. Fortunately, MARK RYDEN makes their backpacks in several sizes, so I ordered the 15 inch, which will be perfect for her. It's big enough to carry the folder & anything else she might need but not so big that it completely engulfs her backside. The print & colors are exactly as pictured. There is a drink holder on one side. The front pouch is fairly large & I plan on keeping her set of spare clothes in there. It seems to be well made, so it should last her through the year & beyond.

Perfect size for kindergarten. The zipper pulls are big for little hands to grab. Love that the design flows onto the front of the straps and it’s not just solid black. Nice spot on the side to attach a lunchbox so it won’t be forgotten. UPDATE- 6 months in and still going strong. Washes well, no tears, holding up better than my older daughters expensive Jansport.
