This printer is GOOD. Takes some tuning of course but everything will start to come together as you gain knowledge of how your machine operates. Assembly is fun and doesn’t take long, especially with two people and a 15 minute YouTube video. You can get some upgrades for your printer right away or add them on at a later time as you see fit. I ended up making some beautiful prints 3 hours after I opened the box. A great little machine and a must have addition to any techies’ home.

The printer is nice and works great! Only thing I had to do after I set it up and turned it on was I had to raise the bar with the nozzle all the way up by hand then home it because it wasnt wanting to move up and bottoming out. If you use this one any where like a bed room or any thing I highly recommend getting the silent board upgrade kit for it, it made the motors dead silent.

This is my first personal 3d printer. I normally use resin based printers at work so I'm used to high quality prints. This printer is able to print at near resin quality if you turn the layer height to .05mm and speed to 25mm/s. I've attached a picture of my very first print (not including the test dog). Obviously resin is going to look better, but for a $250 FDM printer, I doubt you could find a better deal. I ended up choosing FDM over Resin due to the cost of resin. It costs around 5x to 10x more to print using resin.

The Ender 3 Pro is a dynamite 3D printer. My first printer was an Artifex that cost me $1500 and can not turn out prints anywhere as good as the Ender. Once I got it assembled and calibrated I printed the test print dog that came on the SD card. Excellent print results! From there I have printed a number of upgrade parts (cable clips, extruder knob, and side mounting spool bracket). This is a workhorse of a printer! Assembly was made easier by watching a Youtube video by Tomb of 3D Printed Horrors. Refer to the video while building, and take your time. Once it is built nice and square, pull up the Ender 3 - Easy Way to Level Your Bed video from CHEP. Follow his instructions and you will be ready to print like a pro! Finally I would recommend you download a free copy of Cura. This program will take .STL models and slice them into g-code that your printer can use. PROS: low price, nice and stable design, active community with lots of upgrades to print or add on

I ordered this printer a week ago today. I got it together in about an hour and had it printing. After leveling the bed and getting a profile setup in Simplify3D, this printer has been printing every day since. This is not my first 3D printer as I have a flash forge creator pro, and I love this one more. I like it so much, I have already bought a second one. The magnetic bed plate is simply amazing. No more breaking prints or my knuckles. Went together REALLY well. I have also watched several videos and have plans for some updates to it, but I could leave it stock and still be VERY happy with it. If this printer was around when I bought my FFCP, I wouldn't have bought the FFCP.

This printer rocks as it is BUT if you buy this printer buy the upgraded Yellow print bed springs at the same time or you'll forever be re leveling it. Comes with a complete mini tool kit for assembly & maintenance (including wire cutters!) and some spare parts. *Follow the outstanding online guide by Luke Hatfield for assembly and calibration no matter what level you're at! (yeah, I know you already know everything about 3D printers...) Built & calibrated right this printer rivals some costing twice as much, just at the very LEAST calibrate your E-Steps and flow.

This is my second 3d printer and second Creality. As far as build out, the Ender 3 is more of a kit than say the Creality CR10S (and variants). The CR10S I bought was quick to setup and nearly completely put together out of the box. The Ender 3 requires some additional steps to get it put together, but nothing that seemed overly complex or troublesome to me at least. I'm not a 3d printing expert, but I have a few months of experience with them, and am very comfortable with Creality printers in particular. I suspect that helped with the ease of putting this together. However, I found the quick start guide and pictures to be more than sufficient to get it assembled in fairly short order even if I didn't have much experience, anyone should be able to do it, just take your time and if you aren't sure hit the web to get additional opinions. It took me about an hour from box opening to first print. Though I take my time and really look at stuff so I'm pretty slow. First test print was really good and it's been running ever since. I've not had any technical issues with the printer at all. I've read about misc trouble some have with the Ender 3, but I haven't had one bit of trouble. For the print volume and price, it's hard to beat. It's a solid little printer.

Finally took the plunge into 3d printing and settled on the Creality Ender 3 as a seemingly good starting point, and I’m glad I did! This is a genuine creality product for those wondering. This is a newer/revised/updated model too. I didn’t have any alignment issues when building it like I’ve heard some of the older ones have. This one has an injection molded ABS power supply cover (older ones were 3d printed), and the bed isn’t set up in a weird trapezoid, all sides were square so it was easy to level. Again, this was my first 3d printer, so I can’t compare it to anything else, but I’m loving it so far. I did upgrade the extruder assembly to an all metal one, but that’s the only thing I’ve modified so far (though I do plan on installing some x/y dampers in the near future). Thingiverse has a lot of upgrades you can print yourself, so far I’ve printed the fan mod that directs air more directly to the hot end. For the price I have zero complaints. Assembly took under an hour. If you can put together a piece of IKEA furniture, you can assemble this printer. The instructions are simple, and if you require more help there are plenty of YouTube videos with assembly walk throughs. I’ve only printed with hatchbox PLA so far, but will try out some other materials soon (namely gizmo dorks TPU and some hatchbox ABS...after I build an enclosure).

This is my first 3D printer ever. I'm a technician/ machinist for large format digital printers (5m wide). I have extensive knowledge of precise machine structuring and sorting out issues with huge machines for various printers but 3d printing was new to me. I decided on the ender 3 because of the fantastic customer support. After you receive this printer and assemble you will realize you received a good quality kit from a quality conscious distributor. All the vital parts for the frame are metal, aluminum extrusions are way better than plastic acrylic pieces, even the stepper motor brackets and carriages are metal everything is labeled and mapped out for you in a very clean cut way. The machine itself out of the box was mostly assembled, all the more tedious parts were already assembled for me just a matter of building it together, this is great for a first timer that is a hands on learner. Gaining a better straightforward understanding of this machine without headaches prepares the user for a more arduously skilled build as you've grown acquainted with the way the machine is SUPPOSED to work. The ender 3 in my opinion is a good machine for understanding how a good machine is supposed to work. Thanks Creality for making my experience pleasant. Good luck makers!

This is my first 3D printer, and while it is very easy to get set up and get started, it takes some time and research to master. I think that is what makes it even more fun! Yes, you'll have a few failed prints here and there. But the process of learning your printer, getting the settings just right in your software, and getting those really amazing looking prints (and this thing can really make some awesome quality prints!) it is all worth it. It's so much fun to watch as the printer goes to work and starts laying down layers. I just sit and watch it for long periods of time because it's really so amazing. However, you probably won't be able to sit and watch the entire thing because 3D printing takes time. Most prints will take anywhere between 1 - 5 hours or even more! all depends on how large and how detailed you set your quality. If you are interested in 3D printing, this is a fantastic printer to own! Highly recommended.

An amazing little printer for the price. As an owner of several other printers, I bought this one on a whim just because it was so cheap, and I'm super impressed. I'm getting better prints straight out of the box than I do with some of my printers that cost 5 times as much. The only two knocks I will give it is the instructions aren't the greatest if you're new to 3d printing, and the gcode test files on the included card were sliced improperly causing them to fail. Not a problem if you have some experience, but may be frustrating to first time users.

I'm a relative newbie to 3D printing, but boy, is this printer is fantastic and easy to use. The main issue with it is what several other people have complained about: That z-axis leadscrew in the back does want to align very well with the threads at the bottom, so you really have to play with it for a while to get it right. Once it is right, though, the printer is phenomenal. I've printed probably 30 things with it so far, and I haven't been disappointed once. Attached is one picture of a swivel bracket I designed and printed out for use on a mount. It's very sturdy, and the dimensions are quite precise. Not milling machine and lathe precise, but good enough for a very large number of projects when plastic is good enough or is preferred. Sure, there are cobwebs on occasion between the gaps, but it just takes a minute or two to cut them all away and file, or you can use a hot air gun. The price of the printer and the PLA rolls that you buy are great for the amount of things you can do with your 3D printer. You can use a 3D modeling program like FreeCAD in linux and then export to STL, then to gcode for the 3D printer commands. It's super simple. Can't comment on tech support, because I haven't needed any! This is top 5% of the best purchases I've ever made. Really impressed!

Very nice printer. This printer only took an hour or two for assembly, and it took several more hours of watching YouTube videos and reading before I could get the bed correctly leveled. Now that the set-up is fine-tuned, this thing is working incredibly well. The Ender 3 is perfect for my 13-year-old son getting into robotics, and I am impressed with the build quality. Great model for someone getting into 3D printing!

This printer is a very well made and easy to setup printer. And it is amazing so far, I printed a few miniatures for my Dungeons and dragons game and the quality was great! This printer is excellent for anyone wanting to get into 3D printing. As with all things, you will have to do your research to use this. Building it can be a pain but it isn’t impossible.

Really enjoying this printer out of the box. This product is a lot of fun and ,with a little bit of knowledge on 3d modeling, it can let your imagination run free. The only gripe I have is that the bed adhesion is lacking so I recommend upgrading the bed as soon as possible. Overall great product.

I’m in love with this thing. The product is a great beginners printer, and I highly recommend it. Can’t beat the ender-3. It was the first time for me getting into 3D printing and all I know is that my family always teases me for the fact the printer is never off. It’s just too cool and too convenient. Just great!

After trying Winice, 2 Voxelab Aquila printers, and now Finally this: Creality Ender 3. This is a quality product for the cost and It still baffles me how economical it is to be able to get an FDM printer that works as good out of the box as this one. And I must say so after 6 prints that it hasn't missed a beat! And the Creality Ender 3 IS THE BEST!!!
