So far I love my Anet A8 but there are things you need to look out for. Assembly takes some time and you need to make sure you understand the basics of what you are doing when you are assembling it. Make sure all the connections are tight and cables are routed safely so they can't come in contact with the bed moving back and forth. I own two of these acrylic models and both of them had the same issue with the 20A fuse socket melting. The larger metal frame A8 Plus version did not come with the same inline fuse, so I haven't seen the issue outside of these smaller ones. The fuse never blew leading me to believe it isn't an overcurrent issue, but more likely the cheaply made sockets that are probably only rated for 15A in the first place. Those should be thrown away and replaced with 18AWG wires and a better fuse holder coming from the PSU to the mainboard. Also try to remember to reach down and check the temp of the wires every so often while printing until you get comfortable with your setup. Even then NEVER leave it running unattended for too long as they can catch fire. There are also a few upgrades that should probably be done (read what others have said about the MOSFETs and power switch upgrades) As far as print quality goes, out of the box you can expect some pretty great quality prints. The first one took me about 6hrs to get completely assembled and get it to home all 3 axis. After getting the nozzle distance calibrated and the bed leveled things ran pretty smooth. There are test files on the included SD card (which also contains assembly instructions) and there is a small bit of white PLA filament included in all the kits. The real prize in the box is the included toolkits with the blue angle cutters. All my printers have come with these and they are amazing. The latest even had a reversible and adjustable length cross-tip / flat-tip screwdriver. After a few months of owning these I have since flashed the firmware with Marlin 1.1.9 (adds thermal-runaway protection) and installed the BL Touch auto bed leveling sensor. The printers are controlled with OctoPrint running on a Raspberry Pi and up until the fuse holder incidents were otherwise perfect. I am going to fix the wiring issue and keep pushing them as long as they will last.

Unexpectedly good. The bearing is not very good (very noisy) but I can't buy parts at this cost. There are some errors in the assembly diagram and the AC connector is marked incorrectly (N and L are opposite). But with some experience, you can make it clear or even improve something (such as adding belt tensioners, switches, fuses/circuit breakers). As an electrical engineer, all thermoplastics (ESD) are related to me, but if you are experiencing your own problems with electronic products, then it should not be so bad (can you open the paper?).

I have a very similar printer. You will find that the flatness of the bed is the most obvious cause of print quality or failure. We are talking about making adjustments that are smaller than the thickness of the hair, making or breaking good prints. Print the bed test print to ensure.

Not suitable for children, requires assembly and patience. It took me nearly 14 hours since I opened the box until it was printed. For those who like RC, PC, 3D design, role-playing games and artists, this printer is the perfect partner. The parts and models that look very clean on the printer are cheap, and the only reason to buy between $400 and $500 is because you want to avoid assembly. I recommend buying a mosfet to heat the bed to avoid melting the motherboard (help videos can be found on YouTube) and polymer bushings to replace very cheap ball bearings. 3D printer LM8UU solid polymer 8 mm bearing - Igus Drylin RJ4JP-01-08 for Anet A8 Prusa i3 RepRap 3D printer ARQQ heating bed heat pipe power module bed Mosfet for 3D printer heating bed accessories (2 pieces).

Overall kit quality is very great. Couldn't be more happy. Assembly took around 8 hours by not rushing it and being careful. It contained everything, no missing parts, no missing screws(except few extra). It even contained all the tools needed for the assembly as well as a micro SD card and an adapter and around 30grams of filament. Instructions could be just a notch better by adding same scene from different angles but its no difficulty to browse youtube how people built it. After assembling and leveling the bed it printed very well immediately and prints to this day after around 3 weeks of usage. Highly recommended!

Nice entry level printer wich can be easily assembled (with the help of the net) because the manual is not clear sometimes. But its (interlocking) construction is pretty solid, you just have to give yourself time.Additional glass plate is recommended and can be buyed cheaply. The only disadvantages I've encountered until now:-Wingnuts of the heatbed might loosen-Air Fuse might get in contact with the extruder and (slightly) meltBut anyway for that price these are minor problems

Delivered the printer a few days from the warehouse in Russia.Came with little damage to the boxes and the power cord in the glue. After the assembly he earned immediately, although one of the mikrik was impossible to fix according to the instructions, eventually pulled off the collar. The price with the coupon and local delivery to the door was very tasty.
