It is an American power strip, you need buy an adapter for it.
By Haruka Miyamoto on May 4, 2018
Assuming you’re talking about volts and not amps. Your circuit may be 20A or 15A, but if it has the “traditional” wall socket, yes this will work. However, if you want to power a dishwasher or washing machine then your answer is “NO”, because the power strip does not support a typical 220V cord/plug.

The device, which I am using with great pleasure to control lighting and electric fans in my office, makes no claim to be a surge suppressor protecting from irregularities in the household electric current. To the best of my knowledge, no power strip device can protect against a direct lightning strike.
By Jonathan David Leavitt on March 7, 2018
Yes, it can.
By Quinto on April 10, 2018
I believe the buttons work without having setup the strip beforehand.

No, It cannot support Alexa at this moment. It just supports Apple homekit devices.
By Melgar on January 8, 2018
It cannot support the Alexa Skill, it supports Apple homekit devices.

I love Koogeek's entire line of products. I love how I can use Apple Home and control them all, and I even have my Apple TV has a hub so I can theoretically be able to turn an outlet on and off from anywhere in the world. The USB outlets are just available for use and do not come with an on/off switch themselves. Each individual outlet is its own entity within the unit and you can restrict access to any and all of them with just a quick couple series of app buttons. I love this and all their products since I can use Siri to control them or just use the app. All my Koogeek items are in one simple app- my Apple Home App. I am 100% pleased!! All in all, this power strip (surge-protected) unit is great!

This was the best purchase I made ever. I have been thinking with home automation for years and in recent months I discover this product. I purchased this item because I was very interested in seeing how well will it work with my Iphone and my music devices. The quality of this power outlet is great. You can see and feel when you hold it that is made with high-quality materials and is not heavy at all. Setup of this device in Apple Home could not have been easier. I really loved how everything fit perfectly and that I can control all my devices even if I'm far away. It's so interesting that Koogeek has a lot of really good products at affordable prices because this power outlet it could cost more easily but they offer very good price and quality. One part of the package came broken but I imagine that was from the shipping company, although the product was in very good shape. All the lights of the product worked well, it connects very fast with the wifi, and I had one speaker that wouldn't charge with any USB charger and with this outlet it charged very well so I'm very happy as I almost thrown away the speaker haha. I highly recommend it!

Like many people my phone is always on me and the more things I can do with it the better. I got this power strip for use in my game room because it's a smart outlet and surge protector and with frequent power outages where I live that's a necessity. The fact that I can control this with my phone makes it that much better. You can only control the three outlets not the usb ports which I don't have a problem with but someone else might. It was easy to connect I have been using it for awhile and have not had any issues. You can set up scenes and have things turn on or off in the morning, night, I am very happy with it.

Worked out very well. I like the spacing out of the plug connections. It comes with 3 outlets protected from surge. Plugged it in and it worked just as I needed. It was easy to set up and easy to use. Recommended for the lazy and remote turn on for security. So far so good with this power strip. I was able to install the app on my cell phone as well as on my Alexa. I can control it remotely now from either device. It was easy to set up and took no real time at all to add it to Alexa. It is nice to just say "Alexa, light on" and I can do things while being lazier. Also, when not at home I can do it without like I use to with a timer so if someone is watching the house they will not see the light going on at the same time each day.

I have several smart outlets now and I like them. This one is great because it integrates the surge protector with the smart outlet and has usb charging ports. I use this to at my entertainment center where I want to have the surge protection but also want to be able to remotely power the devices. I often have things charging by the tv so the usb charging ports are also coming in very handy. The setup was easy and the directions were simple to follow. The app is working great so far and I have not had any issues. I would recommend this to others that want find the benefits of wifi outlets.

This is a great product right from the get-go. I noticed that it was fairly heavy which is usually a good sign of a well built electronic device. Upon putting my phone charger into the outlet, I was able to control each individual outlet with a manual push button switch. I have an Android and I downloaded the Koogeek app. Unfortunately, it does not work with Android devices, but in regards to a useful surge protector, it definitely works great and I like the ability to turn off each individual outlet when needed (think fan turnoff without turning off your computer!) I compiled a list of pros and cons of this product and it is listed below: Cons: - To control via app, you need an Apple device. Pros: - Well built - Controls each outlet separately - Fairly inexpensive versus other surge protectors Overall it's a great product even if you don't have an Apple product.

This is a smart 3 outlet surge protector, with three separate "switches". The powerjacks each have an individual on/off switch as well. The set up requires the Koogeek app The built quality is great, feels like a top notch product. The Koogeek app is very easy to use and allows you to remotely switch on / off the three powerjack, you can also automate to turn a device on/off at predetermined times, bonus is that can also monitor how much power is consumed by the device making it easy to check on power vampires. Intergration with Apple homekit is a breeze. Scan a code, name the devices and you can control it with your iphone or ipad. Devices sync to the cloud so you're covered every which way. The only thing I wish it would do is also do a better job of working with Alexa. Even tho I enabled the skill in the alexa app, it never finds the devices so that's kinda sad. But the homekit in combo with Siri voice commands works great.

This is a great buy. I have been tinkering with home automation for decades and in recent years things have gotten really interesting. I purchased this item because I was very interested in seeing how well it would work with my iPhone to control a fan I have in my workshop. The quality of this thing is top-notch. When you first hold it, you can tell that it is not made cheap, it has a nice weight to it, you can feel the quality in the types of materials that were used to make it. This device is not perfect, however. When I first plugged it in, I found out that all three outlets were in the OFF position. I think the outlets should come ON by default. Also, it took more force than normal to insert electrical plugs into the receptacles. When the plug finally went in, it felt as if something was scraping against it. It just did not feel 'normal'. Setup of this device in Apple Home could not have been easier. Instructions are not really needed but, I can see how some people may get confused while setting this up. it would be nice to have a simple 1, 2, 3... step-by-step guide printed somewhere on the packaging just in case. Apple Home makes setup of this device a snap. You simply scan the numbers on the stickers at the bottom of the unit. Apple Home will guide you through the process but Apple Home seems to have a bug that shows a completely black image, making your scan a bit difficult. You can always tap the numbers in yourself, too. I was a bit annoyed that Apple Home would not let me rename the outlets during initial setup of the device. However, I was able to rename them just fine after completing the initial setup. It would be nice if this item was also compatible with the Wink 2 hub, making it compatible with the Amazon Echo and just about everything else but since it only supports Bluetooth connectivity, it will only work in Apple Home. It should be noted that the item description clearly stated this item was designed for HomeKit, so I knew what I was getting into. Operation of the outlets is straightforward, you get three onscreen buttons to activate/deactivate each outlet. Tap on a button, and it will toggle between those two states. Easy. This device is operated via Bluetooth, so it can be controlled up to 30 feet away. For me, the range was closer to 40 feet. The inclusion of three USB charging ports on this device is a great feature. I plugged my two iPhones and my iPad simultaneously and all three charged quickly. My iPad (Gen 3) seemed to charge a lot faster than it does with the stock Apple charger and that was a nice surprise. It normally takes all day to charge the iPad from zero but it reached 100% in just a few hours. I did not notice any improvement in the charging time of either iPhone (5s and 6Plus). Also, there are no mounting holes in the back of this unit. So, if you are like me and like to keep your power strips mounted on a firm surface, then be prepared to use velcro or some other method. If the outlets were not so tough to plug into, I would have given this 5 stars. Had it also been compatible with Wink, I would have rated this a must-buy. All in all, this is a quality unit with good features at a fair price and deserving of a four-star rating. You won't be disappointed.

It can connect to your WiFi network and you can control each port individually. For example, if you have a lamp plugged into the middle port, you can remotely turn that on or off, thus powering (or turning off) the lamp. It also has three USB ports; two designated for "iPhones" and one for "iPad." The reason for all of these quotes is because I do not have a smart home, nor do I own any apple devices. I'm a college student with an Android phone, and I thought it would be cool to have a smart, surge-protected power strip. All that aside, it works great as a power strip, has great build quality, and the USB ports charge my phone nearly as fast as my standalone fast charger does.

My son and daughter in law love this. They own apple everything and are trying to be "smart" about how things are done in their home. I bought this one for them because I (and now they) love that they can have their living room lamp plugged in and if they are gone when it gets dark they can use their phones to turn the light on. This makes them and their fur baby happy. It is a heavy duty power strip and the cord is nice and thick. They have had 3 things plugged into the strip along with all 3 USB ports being used at the same time. The strip nor the devices overheated and they all charged just as fast as though they were using the original chargers.

Another quality product from Koogeek. I already had the Koogeek Smart Plug, so setup of the Surge Protector was quick and easy. With a few button presses, the Surge Protector was linked up with the Koogeek Home app (on an iPhone). The app makes it easy to turn any of the three outlets on or off through your smartphone. You can also set schedules through the app (for example, have a light come on at 7pm and turn off at 11pm). I like that the power bar also includes USB charging ports. These can't be controlled or scheduled through the app, but it's nice to have them available on the bar.

Man, I have to say, I'm very pleasantly surprised by this smart plug. Koogeek seems to have done it (mostly) right. For starters, I am experimenting with Alexa vs. Homekit, so I have both types of compatible devices in my home. It's rare to find something that works with both seamlessly. I was first surprised by the packaging and instructions. The app is seamless, helpful, has good directions, and isn't buggy in my experience. The paper manual is very well written with great directions that worked for me first try. My only issue with this is Alexa integration. Don't expect it to work. I purchased one of their P2 smart plugs, the only one that claims to work with Alexa, and it doesn't. So, I'll be sticking with HomeKit for all my Koogeek products. Not a major problem, but would sure be nice. I don't know if that's an easy firmware fix or not, but hopefully so. Overall, this is 100% worth the money compared to the rest of the market. It's well made, feels sturdy and expensive, and works well too. I love the device-level control and energy monitoring! I can't wait to work these into other areas of the house!

Yes, there IS a difference in plug strip surge protectors! And THIS one is a GREAT one! Yes, you can get one for less money but I guarantee that it will not be as good as this one is! This one is HEAVY DUTY. You can tell the difference when you are holding it in your hand. It is well built and works GREAT! It has 3 charging ports, 2 marked for your phone and one marked for your iPad. And THIS powerstrip can be used with Apple Homekit! You can control and monitor the devices or items plugged into the power strip in real time. Right there or remotely! How cool is that!? I give this power strip FIVE STARS and suggest that you try it as well! I think that you will be as happy with it as I am!

The KOOGEEK Model 01US "SMART" power strip has 3 individually addressable power outlets. After you download the Koogeek APP from the APP store, you will be able to individually control 3 different AC power plugs from anywhere using your cell phone. The power strip connects to your home WiFi network, giving you control over whatever you plug into the strip. You can even control the 3 devices using Siri because like all Koogeek products, the power strip works with the "APPLE HOMEKIT". The power strip also has 3 USB outlets and can be used to charge most any device requiring usb power. The maximum load of the power strip is 15 Amps..

This smart power strip surge protector from Koogeek is great product if you are considering automating your home . This smart surge protector allows you to re-use your existing gadgets, electronics and instead makes the source smart. The surge protector comes with three 3 pin plugs which each can be controlled individually with the app and / or physical button and 3 USB charging ports. The app itself is very intuitive and easy to use and you can not only remotely switch on / off any gadget connect to it but also set routines timers and custom schedules etc. Along with setting timers, you can also monitor how much power is consumed by the device making it a very useful device. Along with app, you can also configure home kit on your iDevice to make this voice controlled via Siri.

This is a sturdy, heavy weight smart surge protector/WiFi power strip. I like the way the three 3 pin prongs outlets hold the cords well. We have a summer cottage which I wanted to be able to remotely turn specific lights on and off, etc when we aren't personally there. This power strip is working well for us. We already have a Koogeek light bulb which we control through the Koogeek Home app so just added the power strip as well.

This was super easy to setup. You need to download Koogeek home from the App Store. If you have multiple outlets you can name them on which room and location they are in and then you can name each plugin to whatever is plugged into it. Then you can remotely turn off each plugin. So if you use it in your bathroom and you forget to unplug your curling iron, just login and turn off that specific plug.
November 13, 2017
I'll get to the point on the con's and why it is just 4 stars instead of 5. If Koogeek could distinguish between different outlets per kw used that would be wonderful. Right now it does not display how much kw it is currently using per outlet. It only shows a combined total UNLESS you switch the other 2 off manually. The app could use a lot more improvement or add more feature to how much KW it has used per minute per hr per day per week and months. We want to see the grain of data.
