Bright at 600 lumens with detachable lights. There are a few comments though. (1) a better design would have allowed for better light distribution than simply flooding all sides with light. rather blinding and distracting. Not the best lantern design. (2) an adjustable control would have been made it much more useful and practical

I've only had this lamp for a short time, so I can't rate it at 5 stars at this time. But I am pleased with the ease of charging from my computer and the intensity of the light at the highest level. The mid level is certainly adequate for doing any chores around the home. I purchased this for emergency power outages and it seems perfect for this. It is small and powerful. It supposedly holds a charge for several months and will provide light for many hours on a charge. I was tired of having to buy multiple D batteries for my previous lantern. This seems to be what I have been looking for.

Summary: Comfortable headband with a reasonably bright flashlight on it. Random Comments: - There are four settings. Bright, pretty bright, sorta bright, and strobe. The last is a slow, gentle strobe good for keeping from being run over by cars while you run or ride a bike. - It does not come with a AA battery, so make sure you have one on hand. - I love that this is super small. It doesn't have an over the top of the head strap, but it's elastic band is tight enough to stay on. - The case it came in is great. It's so small. About the size of a watch container. - Great for keeping in a car for emergency situations too. - Hands free flashlight. Conclusion: Excellent choice for a headlamp. * I received a free or discounted item in exchange for my honest opinion.
