This smart switch does exactly what I hoped it would. This is my third Koogeek smart item, and I have to say, they've done it pretty well. The app is simple and streamlined, easy to understand and follow directions, and works smoothly. Their paper instructions have good English and great directions. The product itself works well and feels like it's the high quality that it is. I had this switch installed in less than 10 minutes since I already had the app on my phone and set up. Setting up any automations is a matter of 5-10 more minutes, depending on the complexity. Overall, a really great product that is much cheaper than the alternative, yet only works with Homekit.

I'm not sure why other users are having issues with this switch but I would assume it was a firmware issue and stability issues with certain Wi-Fi routers. I have not seen any issue with my Wi-Fi connection to the dimmer. I have over 30 apple homekit devices connected to AmpliFi Wi-Fi router and it has been stellar. Aesthetically it looks very nice and it fits into a standard wall plate. The app is ok, I don't use it much, I would prefer the eve app or just use the Home app to have an overview of my system. Overall this is a great buy and it has been reliable for me.

This is my review of the Koogeek Smart WiFi Light Switch PACKAGING : It is packaged in a simple white box, it looks nice, and all contents inside came undamaged, so I would consider the packaging satisfactory. SETUP : Setup was very easy. It installs just like a regular light switch, but it does have a white wire, along with red and black, so if your installation point doesn't have a white, you're out of luck. After getting all the wires plugged in, it was as simple as downloading the Koogeek app (IOS only) and searching for a device, you have to be on a 2.4 Ghz WiFi network, because that's how it connects. Once you have found it, you just put in the code that comes with the product, and BAM, you have control over your light switch via your phone. FUNCTIONALITY : This functions as well as any other regular light switch, and feels sturdy enough, along with the added functionality of remotely controlling, which works really well. OVERALL : Overall, if you are looking to be able to remotely control lights in your house, I would definitely recommend this. It was easy to install and get running, and works well.

This wasn't as easy to program like I thought it would be. My daughter has the iPhone and the Apple Watch and it took a few times to get it to connect, but it kept dropping connection. Not sure why that happened. We tried to use my granddaughters iPhone 7 to try and , it connected, but once again it dropped the connection. We are gonna keep it bcuz it's a cool gadget. We just have to be patient with setting it up. Lol. I live talking to Siri on any device, so that's a plus with this being voice activated. I would recommend this purchase to everyone!! It's not like the switch plate is overly big and out of place.

Works as expected, but I have 1 suggestion: it seems it would be easy enough to make it shaped/sized to fit standard decora wall plates rather than *just* the single plate that comes with it. The included plate works fine if you're replacing a single switch with a 1 switch wallplate, but if you're replacing one that is next to other switches, there is no easy way to cover all the switches with a single plate, since this one is a tiny bit larger than the normal rectangular rocker switch size. The only other things to be aware of (which are well documented), is to make sure you have a live and neutral wire (needed to power the switch when it's "turned off" so the wifi still works), and that it only works with single switches (not multi-way switches where you have multiple switches controlling 1 light). Overall, I am quite happy with it, I just wish I could buy a wallplate that would cover it and the switches next to it correctly

I just got this today and installed it. So this is just my initial reaction. I bought the two-switch version with some coupon offer bringing the final price to about $35. At $17.50 a switch, that's a good price for HomeKit switches. Overall, installing and setting up on HomeKit was as straightforward as you would expect with any HomeKit device. There are a few quirks, however, which is why I'm knocking off one star. 1. As many others have pointed out, this switch is not designed to fit in with other switches in a multi-gang electrical box. So buy this only if you want to use it in a single gang box. 2. Both switches of the two-switch unit have to be assigned to the same HomeKit room. In my installation, I wanted the two switches to be assigned to two different HomeKit rooms. That's not possible. 3. As are other HomeKit switches, this switch too is bulky from front to back. Fitting the switch in the electrical box requires more free space that normal mechanical switches. Unfortunately, this unit comes with connection wires hanging off the back, rather than traditional screw terminals. This may force you to have to add a few twist wire connectors in the box, further reducing the space you need to for shoving the switch in the box. Otherwise, it seems to work just fine.

Those HomeKit compatible switches work as advertised. Adding the switches to the Home app was easy, and the remote access feature works. I did not even bother to install the Koogeek app. I have compared these switches made by iDevices and Lutron. The iDevices switches are great, fit a standard wallplate, and work as advertised. The Lutron switches require a hub- no thank you. The Koogeek are less than 1/2 the price of the iDevice switch. Installation of thr Koogeek switch was easy- the problem arose when I tried to put the switch in a 3 gang arrangement. Thr switch is a non standard size, and is deeper than a typical switch. I had to purchase an extra deep wall plate cover from Kyle Switch plates. Even with that-the switches do not fit in the standard opening. I installed one of the switches in my garage, which was a 1 gang installation. The included faceplate worked well here. Summary: great price option compared to iDevices switch, my gold standard, and for 1 gang installation. Proceed with caution on multiple gang installations.

These things are absolutely the best bang for your buck if you are looking to add HomeKit compatible smart switches to your home. You are essentially getting 2 switches for the price of one. I installed 7 of these switches in my home to control everything from multiple lighted areas to ceiling fans and attached lighting separately. Setup was a breeze as well as the installation. My only complaint is that Koogeek does not use standard switch covers and if you are are doing 2 switches side by side it requires some cutting and modifying to get a standard cover to fit.

It is the perfect replacement for my garage door lights old timer. Rather than having to look for the badly translated instructions on how to program the timer, being able to just set an event at sunrise and sunset through HomeKit is great. No more figuring out what and when to do when we switch to summer or winter time, no more going online to find out why and how the old timer does (or does not) what you want it to do (or not do). It has been working flawlessly since I received and installed it. The installation took less than 10 minutes, most of the time being spent making sure the power is cut off. Only complain is the faceplate. The old timer was installed with a second switch next to it, sharing a double faceplate with it. It took a little bit of fiddling to get that one to fit in that configuration. I wish the company would offer solutions on that side.

I currently own another Koogeek product, a blood pressure monitor, that my family and I liked quite a bit. We use it weekly to keep track of our BP history. We were in the market for a smart light switch so that when we leave our home for an extended period of time (vacation), we could control and simulate the lights inside our house as if we were still home. Our goal was to minimize the possibility of someone breaking in. Installation was straight-forward like a standard light switch, and once it was in place, I had to pair it to our WiFi. a decent product.

I really enjoy home automation. It just makes it easier to be able to control and monitor devices in your home from your mobile phone. I also love being able to call out to my voice assistants (Siri) and have them switch devices on and off. This light switch is another item from Koogeek that makes these home automation tasks possible. I've used several Koogeek products before and they make life just a little easier at home. For the most part, the Koggek items are plug and play, but this wall switch has to be hard wired into the wall. Installation is pretty straightforward and not unlike standard wall switches. There are three wires that come out the back of the unit -- load, neutral, and line.

Great product and worked as advertised. Integrated right into HomeKit with no issue. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't fit a standard decora wall plate. If you only have one to replace, it's no big deal, but I was putting it in a 3 gang box and couldn't use it with the existing cover plate.

I tried 3 brands of swithes. I choose Koogeek because it required no hub. It works flawlessly with my Mac network and iPhone. The reason for 4 stars is I installed 2 of these side by side in a 2 gang box and MADE it work BUT they are really intended to go in a single box. You cannot use a standard decora trim plate. Also they only come in white. Another neg is I can't find a 3way. Hope they make one. If so I will be buying a few. Rick , Bend OR

So far I love them, they are simple to install, I just had to connect the neutral wire which wasn't used for my old switch. I have the room light and ceiling fan switch connected to this smart switch and it works great. When I have a guest and they forget to turn things off I can remotely do it. The app is very simple to use

The switch looks beautiful on my wall after installed and instruction manual is easy to follow. The apps is easy to locate in the apps store. The WiFi setup is quite simple as well and works well with my iphone. I am now able to switch off my light from my phones and don’t have to come back into the house when my kids forget to turn off the light.

The light switch works great and was easy to install. It'd be nice if the switch used push-in wiring connections so that you don't need to stuff all the terminal connectors back into the junction box. You can use the Faceplate that comes with it. Homekit works perfectly and using Siri works like a charm.

Got a Smart Home device? This one is a great addition. Replacing switches with smart Wifi switches is a better option for a smart home than using plugs. Plugs usually connect to lamps that also work by hand - and it's tempting for turn them off/on using those "old school" ways (old habits die hard). When replacing a wall switch, you can power devices on/off using the wall switch from either the wall switch (as you always have). The Koogeek wall switches, more specifically.
