This LCD Tach/Hour Meter is used for tracking engine rpm and hours of operation on machinery such as motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile, boat, generator, etc. It is ideal for maintenance your applications. All you need to do is to put the battery in and wrap the wire 3 or 4 turns around the spark plug wire.

When the battery is changed does it lose the time accumulated?

  • Going from memory of reading the instructions a long time ago, yes it will lose the accumulated hours time. If that’s a problem you will have to use an analog version with number wheels.

      I received my Tachometer but it did not come with a battery I had to go but a battery for $4.69. Follow the directions and programmed the unit for my lawnmower and it worked great! Keeps track of hours and shows the RPMs. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because it didn't have a battery!
