I’ve always had a problem with guests welcoming themselves to our grand piano and sitting on our bare piano bench. The problem is they always have stinky behinds, those type who don’t wipe after a number 2. This one easily protects our bench. I can toss it in the washer after a guest leaves and my kids don’t complain that our piano bench don’t smell like our local composting area anymore.

I wanted something inexpensive, pre-made and somewhat tailored to go over the top of an upholstered bench to cover and protect. This fit the bill and took less than two weeks to get it (at the time it was not offered as Prime Shipping). I bought red, and what I received was slightly darker and richer in color than what was pictured. The color was more of a deep garnet red and it very attractive. There was no color blotching or flaws in the fabric I was hoping when it said Decorated with beautiful macramé" in the description it really just meant pleated skirt..it does have a pleated skirt with no sign of macramé. It is a thinner fabric, velvety on one side and the back of fabric is reminiscent of the backside of a acetate ribbon..so it might be a little slippery on bare wood. I have it on an existing upholstered surface and it stays put and falls nicely and it looks good. Its stitched together well, corners are nicely done, pleats are uniform and hemmed at the bottom , all the edges are finished and trimmed off nicely and overall very attractive and well made. It’s been used every day for two months and brushed extensively to remove cat hair and the fabric is not showing any wear or pilling or frankly claw damage (little beast loves the feel of the fabric.. it is nice and soft). It was made true to dimensions. I paid $8 for this out the door…I was not expecting a custom fit $40 a yard fabric bench cover for this price so I was very pleased with the quality. Keep your expectations in line with your investment here and you will be very happy with it. I liked it so much I ordered a second one in brown.
