Be advised.. this is a very authentic reinterpretation of the Boss Blues Driver pedal. That is a plus. However, if you have extremely hot pickups, this pedal will quickly move past a threshold of mild overdrive to harsh breaking distortion, with very little tweak room in between. This is the case with a '76 Les Paul Custom having a stock neck humbucker and an active bridge EMG pickup. I leave the switch in the "Fat" position, because the Bright gets even more harsh. Finding the right combination of knob positions (both on guitar and pedal) to get a sweet blues tone across a range of settings is pretty hard. So, I'm rating the pedal with three stars. I dumped my Tube Screamer for this pedal. I stand by this decision for now.
