Be advised.. this is a very authentic reinterpretation of the Boss Blues Driver pedal. That is a plus. However, if you have extremely hot pickups, this pedal will quickly move past a threshold of mild overdrive to harsh breaking distortion, with very little tweak room in between. This is the case with a '76 Les Paul Custom having a stock neck humbucker and an active bridge EMG pickup. I leave the switch in the "Fat" position, because the Bright gets even more harsh. Finding the right combination of knob positions (both on guitar and pedal) to get a sweet blues tone across a range of settings is pretty hard. So, I'm rating the pedal with three stars. I dumped my Tube Screamer for this pedal. I stand by this decision for now.

They obviously dont test these pedals after they build them. I got mine and was excited to put it on my board. Ripped the rubber off the bottom and replaced it with velcro. (Now i know not to do this before testing a pedal that is supposed to be brand new and working, because ripping the rubber off voids warranty and returnability) The second i turned on the pedal it worked as a mute switch, and didnt allow any sound to come through. I took some contact cleaner and cleaned the knobs and switches with it, and after that it would pass sound through but also is very staticky. Ive heard these pedals before and if you get a working one it sounds great, but in my opinion its not worth the hassle. The quality just isnt there on this.
