I really wanted to love this bassoon. I cried when I opened the box so having to pack it up and return it was heartbreaking. It was cheaply made. The accessories were cheaply made. The neck strap couldn't adjust. The cleaning rag broke. The case was poorly made with the supports coming loose in transit. Even the reed was worthless and tasted of lacquer. And varnish was spilled on the top of the boot joint. The bassoon itself has the extra keys that only the best and most expensive bassoons offer so the corners were cut everywhere they could to offset it. I paid $1300 (January 2020) for it and now (February 2020) they are offering it for a little over $1000. And they still get a profit on this! It's been a few years since I played, but I was a professional Bassoonist just wanting to get back into it. The bassoon I got...and returned...wouldn't even play middle C. I could play everything around it, but middle C wouldn't even achieve a tone. My heart is broken. I wanted to love this bassoon.
