Don't fall for the negative reviews, they nearly changed my decision to order these. I took a chance anyway with the low price tag, and I am sure glad I did! The quality is very competitive with the big names. No bad taste with these, and they play remarkably well. These blew my vandoren reeds away hands down and for less than half the price! My latest box of vandoren had me thinking that there may be issues with my tenor because the sound was getting very airy. After strapping one of these on, it's clear that there wasn't any issues with my sax. Although I've only gotten about 20 minutes of play time so far, I am beyond impressed. I will be ordering these again when I run out!

I am not a connoisseur of reeds. I'm just looking for a rod that responds quickly when it starts to hit, has an acceptable tone, can be controlled at very high and low frequencies, and is not too violent. In my first quick game, I determined that 3 are very good, 1 is good, 2 may be a bit of work and 4 may not be. The PNs are very hard because they all bend up at the tip. I flattened them by repeatedly wetting their tips and pressing them all into their boxes. These clips are a kind of clip that presses the tip down on a flat bottom. All the rods are very dry and I recommend soaking them for 10-15 minutes. Four of them were promoted to MWLW, one was downgraded to Hopeless, and the other two were still 3-1 / 2. They can be improved by sanding / shaving. (The cane had a rating of 2-1 / 2, and the intensity was very similar to that of Vandoren 2-1 / 2.) One MWLW reached a good condition (the other could not improve and was declared hopeless), by what there were 5 players with 10 I and a possibility. Poor, but it requires some work.
