The violin arrived in good shape. It has a good quality case (in fact a bit more elaborate than my son cares to deal with so we generally leave the violin on top of the case rather than in it). Just a couple minutes to tune the violin and rosin the bow and it was ready for a test run. Given the very small size, I was amazed at the sound quality. It's certainly a smaller sound to match its smaller size (and frankly I struggle to make my adult sized fingers hit just a single string), but overall sounds and feels like a good quality instrument.

This is a great little violin for a toddler just learning about the violin. It's a realistic miniature violin that fits a child 3 to 5 years-old. My toddler gets a kick out of sawing across the strings as he learns to hold it correctly and play music. It's beautifully crafted from real wood and stained for a natural look.

I bought this violin for my brother and it arrived yesterday. He is impressed with the quality, the extras, the appearance, the case of course and overall perfection of this well-rated and worthy of praise violin. Made him so happy to receive this wonderful violin. Thank you.

I'm not a professional and this is my 2nd time owning a violin. The first was a few years ago in the third grade... First off, this violin, as many have mentioned is pretty freaking amazing for the price. Especially if you are starting out and want something that sounds good without drying out your pocket. The violin itself was a bit difficult for me to operate at first because, well.. Beginner. But after a few videos I got it tuned and no, im not professional as I mentioned so I can't say I know a good Rosen when I see one. It is useable.

I purchased this violin several weeks ago and wanted to have little time with it before I wrote a review. My 8yo daughter recently started to take lessons and it made me realize how much I missed playing the violin. I haven't played the violin in over a decade, so I purchased this just to mess around. I wanted to get something cheap for myself to test the waters again before I committed to a more expensive instrument. it is a lovely instrument. :)

I bought this for a friend who always wanted to play violin but never could afford one, the quality was surprisingly good considering how cheap it was, I helped her set it up I am no good at teaching so I got her a few books and downloaded some vids from youtube for her to watch but still...

I bought this for my 4-year old, who is smaller than my 5-year old by enough that this was the correct size for him. I love this purchase! It is a great package of items to get a toddler started in violin lessons. It has a great tone, as it is so cute!

If you're cautious about taking a chance on your first violin and don't really know where to start, I'd recommend here. This is a great starter package and it comes at a fantastic price!

Definitely not a professional violin, and for $46, you can't be expecting a Stradivarius. I love it though! I've been playing daily since I got it (about 5 days ago) and am already learning compositions by ear, Which means it's staying in tune rather well!

I guess a lot of people who bought it just jumped the gun and started messing with it which caused it to fall apart. The rosin worked fine for me and the violin itself is gorgeous! It's perfect for anyone starting to play!

I purchased this Violin for my son for Christmas. He likes this particular musical instrument and we got it mainly for him to fiddle around with. He is about 1 year into his Piano lessons so we probably won't start him on Violin lessons just yet.

My 12 year old daughter wanted a violin just out of the blue. Violins can be very expensive, yet being able to purchase a new one with colors to choose from for a fickle 12 year old girl at this price was an easy decision.

it is a little tricky to string and glue the bridges on these small scale violins and they are often shipped with the bridge unattached. Even if you are accustomed to tuning string instruments, it will probably take some time to do it properly because the pegs are absolutely tiny

I played violin many years ago, and I wanted to see if I'd be able to pick it up again. However, I didn't want to spend over $1,000 for a violin from Brook Mays, so I got this is wonderful.

As a violin teacher, I like to have these on hand for cheap entry level instruments, or rent for $10/month. That way a student doesn't have to get into a year contract at a local music store if they aren't sure if they want to stick with it or not.A great way to get started on the violin for VERY little money.

This violin is actually a really good starter violin for anyone. It has great sound and it's pretty sturdy. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the strings are very easy to pop, so do not try to tune it your self, unless you know what your doing. Other than that this is a really good instrument.

I am a Music Teacher and started 30 children on violin this past year. Many of them purchased this instrument, 1/8 or 1/10 size. For what we needed it for it is AWESOME! So inexpensive the parents did not blink an eye to purchase it. I had a problem with 2 of the bows..... the hair pulled away from the frog. I replaced them via amazon for under $7 each. Tough keeping them in tune at first.... I bought 'peg drops' for under $10.... used it on all 30 violins..... problem virtually solved! Not one student needed the shoulder rest....... little tiny necks just don't really need it and they're uncomfortable anyway. Rosin fine. Sound GREAT for the money. Thank you Mendini for this price point: no doubt you're enabling many young kids 'try it out' with minimal investment from parents.
