I bought this as an alternative underwear for a pair of bike shorts with a removable lining and a traditional suede pad. The padding is thick, the back feels bulky but not too bulky, and the contact between the seat or the leg of the car works well. I have not traveled more than 20 miles, so I cannot say if they are suitable for long-distance trips. I have a 29-inch waist that is small for many brands, but the medium size is the smallest. I have the means, it works, so I suspect that most people would want to order a size. There are no clip legs, but I didn't find them riding. They are very hot and will be soaked with sweat, but they are easy to rinse and air dry overnight. If you use it after a few months, you can buy more.

I have a 32 inch waist and I got a median. It is very suitable. I only used it 5 or 6 times, but so far they have been very useful because my bicycle seat is not particularly comfortable. I put them in my underwear and they survived in the washing machine, although I didn't go through the dryer. They are from China, so shipping takes a few weeks.

I am very please with this purchase. This was the first time I purchased this type of underwear and was not expecting a whole lot. The actually seem more like shorts, but obviously they aren't shorts. Either way, there is plenty of cushioning and so far (1 month) they haven't worn down or become flat. All the stitching is holding together well and comfortable to wear long term.
