Without a battery, the LEDs won't light at all, and won't rotate unless it is in sufficient light. I purchased mine in Feb. of 2015. Its in a north window with a Eneloop NiMH AA rechargeable battery & rotates 24 hours a day. The light the unit receives daily is enough to keep it rotating & charge the battery. The stand is very small. It's mean to display one small item because the diameter is only about 3 inches in diameter. Also this isn't solar powered like it says in the description. It's battery powered.

No, first off it will slow down in time. Second there is simply not enough kinetic motion to be effective. Get a rotation box instead.

I used mine indoors at a trade show. The lights were bright, however for the table to turn as would be desired, you'd need a ton of outdoor light. If using the LED on without battery, expect the outside light to drown out the LED. Id suggest using battery for both table rotation and lights.

I think the speed is correct now

The rotation is continuous with battery installed. I have never used it with a solar power source mode. You can only display micro light items
