I purchased a water flosser on advice from my dentist. I've used it twice and have been pleased so far. There is a tremendous amount of force even from the soft setting. My dentist informed me that it probably would be slightly painful until my gums gets toughened to using it. I expect a couple weeks. There are a couple spots on my gums that feel tender, but for the most part it is acceptable. Even after brushing there was food debris flowing into the sink. Never realized there was that much gunk left behind. Thinking I will try it while in the shower next time. Also going to mix in a little mouthwash for an extra clean mouth.

Only just received the water flosser, but it works great. The stream isn't too powerful, but it enough to remove built-up plaque and other debris from between teeth and the gum line. I think that it will definitely help keep my gums and teeth more healthy than just standard brushing, as well as, minimizing the amount of "scrapping" needed when I visit the dentist. It is a bit big, but easily can fit into your carryon baggage. And you will need the larger reservoir because it empties quickly. Fantastic product that has, so far, worked better than I expected.

The water jets does a great job of cleaning the mouth and gums. I use after each meal to keep food particles out of my gums, since I had gum disease in the past and my gums are now sensitive this flosser is ideal for the young and the not so young. Wish I had purchased one a long time ago.
