After installed this temperature controlled automatic vent opener, your window will be a self opening one. It is solar heat sensitive that open the vent when weather warms up and then closing when it cools down. Really works well in maintain the greenhouse within the preferred temperature range.

    This is one of the more ingenious gadgets I have ever used! I installed one on a new cold frame system for my garden, and have watched with awe as this device opens just a little or a lot to help maintain constant temperatures within the frame. I’m not sure how you could successfully manually adjust the opening for the frame otherwise - trying to guess the temperature and then opening or closing the frame manually throughout the day or as clouds passed. The fact that the device works so simply, and without any power or batteries, makes it that much more remarkable.

    What a great product! These things really open and close very well with the temperature. My greenhouse tops out at around 85-90F thanks to this opener. Here is one thing that is not clear from the product information: These are really meant to open windows which have a much larger size than the length of the opener. My window is a long thin window, approximately 12" tall running the width of the greenhouse. This size was barely large enough to allow me to use the opener. I did buy two more of these to use as vents in the side walls, I plan to make those vents about 24" in height which I think will be perfect.

    I purchased three of these. Two are used to open a rather large hinged roof window (about 4'x6'), and one is used to push out a vertical side window that is hinged at the top. They all work great. It's so nice to go out on a warm day and see that they have automatically opened to cool my greenhouse.

    Works very well to vent our DIY greenhouse. I'm moderately handy but had never installed one of these before, and was able to figure it out. The opener definitely makes a difference in maintaining the max temp, and so far has worked flawlessly in both hot and cold weather .

    I installed this on our greenhouse, and it works as advertised. Opens and closes with the temperature. It does take a little time, so if things heat up or cool down quickly, it may take a little longer than expected to operate.
