We bought this because our plastic holder broke and can not attach to the leash. This item with a "Aluminum Tube" was thought to have aluminum caps that would hold up better. NO! The caps are plastic and not any better than the $3 plastic holders. Save your money and your disappointment.

I was worried my current bags would not fit inside. I worried for nothing It comes with a large roll (see pics) and it will definitely fit the ones I already have. The spindles will keep any size bag-roll secured inside and help it stay in place as it unspools. Details: Aluminum housing with plastic ends. The clip is a plastic carabiner with metal gate and spring. The bottom unscrews allowing refills, and the top has the carabiner (but does not unscrew). I don't see why I will ever need to replace this - should last longer than me.
