The maximum weight is 50g. The precision is up to 1 microgram. 0.001, so 0.050 would be 50milligrams. I use this to weight my suppliments. Works great. Also comes with 50g weight to check accuracy at your atmospheric pressure.

I would think so. It weighs accurately to 1 gram. One gram equals 15.4 grains. Since we are probably talking over a hundred grains it would be no problem since the scale will weigh accurately to within one gram.

It is used to count a large number of small objects. For this example, I will assume you are weighing a bottle of pills and will describe how to use the TARE feature in conjunction with PCS. *Empty the pill bottle. Manually count out 25, 50, 75, or 100 pills. *Place the empty pill bottle on the scale, and press the TARE button to zero the display. *Put the 25, 50, 75, or 100 pills you manually counted back in the bottle. *Press and hold the PCS button. It will display 25, 50, 75, or 100. Repeatedly press the MODE button until the display shows the number of pills you manually counted (25, 50, 75, or 100). So if you manually counted 25 pills and put them in the bottle, press MODE until 25 is displayed. *Now press the PCS button again. You are now set up and ready to count. Put the rest of the pills in the bottle, and read the count! The scale has a 50 gram capacity. If you have more than 50 grams of pills, count them in small batches, noting the count of each batch and adding the batch counts up. see less

The Digital scale is excellent for my needs. It's small compact design allows me to slip into my pocket with no discomfort. It's accurate in all modes including the Tare mode. No matter what small items you are weighing this scale is great. I've used it to weigh powders, and solids.

I love that it comes with a weight to maintain accuracy. I use this for my garden additives, like fertilizer, homemade weed and bug killer sprays and water beads, most of which have to be measured in teeny tiny amounts. AND IT'S ALWAYS ACCURATE.This scale is perfect for anyone who is a little OCD about measurements, (or a lot) like me!

Such a tiny scale!! I was amazed how compact that is! Super light and easy to use. Tested out with some Swarovski crystals and seems like everything is very close to the very expansive large machines out there. not going to use it for bulk measuring but great for the very small chatons, etc.

The following are powder weights compared to my beam scale, in grains. Homegeek - 25.2, 25.36, 25.38, 25.2, 25.4 - Avg = 25.31 Beam Scale - 25.5, 25.58, 25.57, 25.55, 25.59 - Avg = 25.56 Procedure used: actuate the drum powder measure on the press just as it would be done under normal conditions, dumped the contents of that case into the homegeek tared pan, wrote down the weight. Then dumped those contents into the beam scale pan, then adjusted to beam to scale, wrote down the weight. So, the first one, 25.2 is the exact same powder load as the beam scale 25.5. This digital scale is far enough off that i don't trust it at all for loading. 2 tenths difference on the average is too much for me.

While this is a good scale for measuring heavier weights, anything below 0.050g is very touchy and difficult to read. I followed all the instructions and advice in the small manual, but found that sometimes the scale would not register weight added or reduced, or would inaccurately bounce between numbers. The scale is completely unusable under 0.020g, so I would not advise using this scale for sensitive measurements. I found it was much more accurate around 0.1g and higher, which is unfortunate because I bought it to measure by milligrams.

The approach to making <10 milligram measurements is to use a weigh boat weighing 100mg with the scale at all times. Once you add the item to be weighed, if it is less then 10 mg in weight, lift and replace the weigh boat. In this way, you can precision within 2 mg. The scale is not very precise, often weighing the same 100 mg item as anything from 97 mg to 104 mg. I suspect this is due to the irregular shape of the scale's surface and the large surface area of my weight boat. It usually weighs the item as 98 mg or 100 mg 70% of the time.

Mine came in broken probably more of a shipping thing than from the factory. Also I've calibrated the scale multiple times and I cant get a reading lower than .011 g which sucks because I'm needing to read as low as .005 g or 5 mg. Other than those things it's working ok so far.
