Is this a comfortable stool?

  • İt is comfortable enough for my guests to sit on while I'm cooking. If you're planning to sit on it for hours you should probably look for something with a bit of cushioning and a backrest.

  • The seat is wood so yes you could sand it to re-stain or paint it.

how is the height adjusted, by the seat swivel or legs of the stool?

  • The seat swivels up and down, the adjustment part of the stools works real well the only complaint I have about these is the bottom piece to the legs falls off and they wobble.

I know these swivel to adjust height but in description it says there are also screws to "immobilize". can they also be fixed and not swivel?

  • Yes, they only swivel if the screw is not tight enough, which allows the top to move. However, my three seem to always come loose, so they swivel all the time.

      very good product robust and lightweight. Good height for a bar but too high for a workshop in low setting. By shortening the feet by 10 cm even if there are a few mm difference thanks to the adjustable feet that are recovered on the cut parts the stool is perfectly stable and at the right height.
