very easy to use very effective suction cup provided you have a perfectly smooth (therefore shiny) surface personally I stick a piece of formica on a board (the real step of melamine) and the suction cup is fixed securely for 3 days I finally could redo the thread of several kitchen or pocket blades and also refresh the wood scissors brief happy with my purchase I only put 3 stars because it lacks the lower rod to stabilize the whole the fixing is well but not the rod lacks seriousness in production given the robustness of the suction cup this is not critical tip protect your beautiful blades with a piece of adhesive is not superfluous.

Finally an efficient sharpener, good manufacturing, simple to use and excellent value for money. IMPORTANT: a set of stones accompanies the sharpener but do not hesitate to complete it with stones, preferably diamonds. They are easily found of the right length on the net. I assure you that at this price, you will not find better!

Perfect for correctly sharpening all your traditional kitchen blades. My knives now pass the paper sheet test without any problems. The 120 stone is not too useful, unless your wire is really very dull, but perfect for smoothing other stones. Go to 320 to resume the angle, 600 to sharpen like a razor, 1500 to polish like a mirror. Improvement: I screwed the device on a bread board for more stability and aesthetics. Placed an N52 magnet in place of the fixing device for more flexibility in use. Do not forget to soak the stones in water 1/4 hour before use. The angle of the working platform is 20 °. So if you position your stone horizontally, you sharpen at an angle of 20 ° which is perfect for traditional knives. I remove 1 star for the 2 improvements made but it is excellent value for money and more than enough for home use.

This is an uncomplicated sharpening that can provide consistent edges. Easy to assemble from images on Amazon. I use an old kitchen knife just to see how it works. When I didn't know it worked in a drawer full of small knives, I always wanted to sharpen it properly for many years. Working on several flat blades is equally easy. I also found a way to make a flat chisel by supporting the tip of the chisel against the edge of the rest, but placing the handle on a bench. I am very satisfied with the team. Simple, effective, no batteries required, it can be easily packed and learn basic use in just a few minutes.

The principle is nickel: we sharpen simply, quickly with a brilliant and razor-sharp rendering ... if it does not break. After 4 sharpening, the suction cup does not hold any more and the blocking of the mast broke. So maybe an anorexic girl could handle it without breakage, but in all, me, no way. It's a shame, especially since the system is very efficient and the quality stones ... so I bought a similar all-metal model, which is not far from perfection ...

practical enough to sharpen its knives, however it is absolutely necessary to fix it on a support if you do not want to struggle, and it is for me a little difficult to find the ideal angle of attack to have a good edge. do not hesitate to train on old knives before attacking your most loyal blades ... you have to find the hang of it and then it goes by itself! when has the duration of the stones in the long term ... to see; but a spare set is not very expensive.

Hello, I want to give my opinion on this product, my experience has been satisfactory, the tool is very useful for sharpening knives of several sizes and models that I have personally sharpened almost all the knives that I have at home, the stones work well I recommend cleaning them often during sharpening, as it is better to sharpen. I only have one complaint, the suction cup is very bad, I recommend installing the tool on a base with screws for best results. thank you.

No instructions, seemed like a returned product as it was half assembled. Had to find a video on the web to put it together. Requires a laser set or set square to set angles. Really not for amateurs. Also needs fixing to a bench or block of wood. But once operational achieves fantastic results, but be prepared to put some time in and ruin a few cheap knives before moving to your working set. Definitely worth the money if you have the time. (Most of us Chefs do not).

Great sharpener and very easy to use, once I'd looked up on YouTube how to put it together. My eldest bad tried to sharpen some of out kitchen knives with an oil stone, leaving them blunt and chipped. I took around 20 minutes per knife, but we can now slice tomatoes wafer thin again.

Can't be beaten for the price but it does need some modifications to make it better. I can recommend the following Youtube video which is titled: Ruixin Pro III Knife Sharpener - Assembling, Upgrades and How to use. Sorry, I can't post a link, not allowed by Tomtops rules. Carry out the mods as shown, wooden base, powerful magnet etc. Makes it so much better to use. I got a neodymium magnet with a pull of 32 lbs just the right dimensions too. Warning: the main body is NOT stainless steel but chromed steel, pretty thin chrome too, mine has worn through because I keep forgetting to apply tape to protect it. Oh, I also made some leather strops for it as well, they put the razor's edge on your blades with some compound.
