Like most handheld DMMs with this feature set in this price range, these are made in China. We have been happy with the performance and reliability so far (one month).

Edit: There is a warranty card in the box (I didn't notice earlier). The manufacturer does offer a 1 year warranty (with disclaimers on abuse, etc.). Given the (what I consider reasonable) price of the unit, I would probably not do so. I also expect it to hold up well if it is not abused. The manual does not include warranty information. Read the manual closely and take all safety precautions. It is a really nice DMM. It has a nice quality feel to it And did I mention it's red? see less

No. The UT61 series of meters includes models UT61A thru E. This model (the UT61E) has no backlight. Some of the other UT61 series meters do have a backlight as well as some different features but they aren't 22,000 count meters.

I don't know about RioRand, when i got mine it was from uni-t, but it does look the same as my uni-t 61e I would ask the seller about it. G.R.

Not certain how to answer. Sometimes you have to roll the dice and see. At times the PCB, Design, and MFG get passed around from shop to shop. Please not even if "legit" you STILL need proper probes and SECONDLY read eevblog for the problems with the fuses. Working according to the description, I need a heavier test line. I recommend the crocodile clip reel and I always want them. You can use it to find automotive electrical shorts, or HVACs to find short circuit compressors, or any trade. Due to the high impedance of the tester, it is like a small measuring instrument. Not very precise but very close.

My son asked this special multimeter, he is a diesel mechanic. This is very good and takes place in a professional environment. I'm going to reconsider this project to anyone looking for a multimeter. Do not waste your money in the bustle, finally buy a better money, this price is excellent!

This digital multimeter is better than more than 100 dollars. It would be better if they make the COM connector black and the other 3 connectors turn red. It does not have backlight, it's not a big deal, but adding it will not be harmful. Although I was not lucky enough to compare, after reading some comments on YouTube, I thought it was an accurate digital multimeter that met all the advertising specifications.

UNI-T UT61E AC / DC Modern Digital ... 3.0 stars, up to 5 stars This package is really bad. However, there is no box, it works in the same way as an advertisement, and I am completely satisfied with its accuracy. Even if it is not a box, it is a rugged meter that can withstand rough handling. A few months later, I ordered another UT61E, which was equipped with the correct packaging, and of course, all the ranges of readings were tolerances. This meter should not be used to measure the power because it has little protection against high voltages. As for the electronic hobby, it will do all the necessary work. I recommend this meter ..............

It took me a long time to get the price and the quality, I am very happy to wait. I am an amateur, I chose this to test the frequency of the condenser and detect my music project. The frequency detection is worth it. It is very sensitive and precise compared to the frequency generator that I built with Arduino. It's good to see that some of the projects I'm doing are doing what they're supposed to do.
