Would this be an appropriate rod for an inexperienced angler going after rainbow, lake and brown trout?

  • I use telescopic rods because I travel and like to fish on the go. However, for inexperience fishermen, I don't recommend it. Get a two or three piece rod with a solid reel. For the novice, I like to make things simple. remember it's the person that knows how to set the hook, it's the rod and reel that helps you bring the fish in. see less

      Worth it at the price. Solid sturdy smooth. So I've ordered three of these . 2 for my self and one as a gift. It keeps they are out performing. Smooth drag and well tuned. Great reel. Sucks that ist made over seas but so is every other reel now.

      smooth as I expected. The product is I like imagined it to be. The collapsible handle does not feel fragile at all and can fold easily. Overall it is a recommendable buy for something not too expensive.
