It's the same mantle, though, as is used for any of the other similar sized lanterns. Just the same, it may be wise to acquire a 3-pack of mantels; as they are quite delicate and are easily ruined by rain or agitation. The Docooler lamp uses standard threaded connectors found on 'backpacking' isobutane canisters. In most of the developed world, the standard for gas canisters for backpacking is a threaded canister with a 7/16ths UNEF thread. In most of the developed world, the standard for gas canisters for backpacking is a threaded canister with a 7/16ths UNEF thread. (Not the larger Coleman 'car camping' type canister with a much larger 1"-20 fitting size). Furthermore, these backpacking canisters have a Lindal valve inside their connector. The Lindal valve allows the canister to be removed from the stove for safe storage or transport. see less
