Picked up two of these reels, super impressive! This reel is incredibly smooth, the drag is not rough at all, and the reel can cast a country mile! When you put line on the spool it lines up perfectly, and being it is a braid ready spool is also Excellent. I like the fact that I don’t have to have two different lines in the boat for one being the backer. And on top of it the 5.2:1 Gear ratio it is a perfect all around ratio. I also love the fact that the reel has a full graphite body making it very light and a reel you can cast all day. I have a 2000 and a 3000 series, on the 3000 series I’m using it for a drop shot and it works phenomenal! For the 2000 series I’m skipping docks with it using a senko on a flick it jig, and they work for Awesome for both techniques. But the reel is definitely not limited to only these techniques, I also like the fact that it has the back reeling capability For when you pull in the big pigs, you can back reel them if need be, I also really like the look of the reel with the Matte black finish and the metallic red, very sharp looking, Piscifun has really stepped up to bring us an amazing product at an extremely affordable price, and The best part is, it’s still a high-quality reel! As a Tournament angler I can only have stuff in my boat I can rely on, I will definitely have a few of these in my boat! Highly recommended to anyone from the beginning to a professional angler!

What can I say? This is another great reel from Piscifun. I have 10-11 reels from them now and this one is just as good as the others. I bought this reel based on other reviews and also based on my own experience with my other Piscifun reels. Despite the low cost, it is a killer reel! Casts far, retrieves smoothly, and has the drag power I need. I use this reel for bass, Crappie, catfish, trout, and panfish. The reel looks good on any of my rods I put it on and gets lots of compliments from my fishing buddies and strangers on the water as well. I have caught lots of bass on it already as well as a few trout and it worked flawlessly every time. I am looking forward to getting out with it again soon and catching more fish. I definitely recommend you get one of these reels to try for yourself!

Used the Flame 2000 for the first time today. I’m always nervous about using new reels and used to be a strict Pfleuger user. The Flame has changed my opinion 100%. Fishing from a kayak I need a smaller, lighter, and more compact reel. The Flame is both the perfect size for me and accommodating for the bass and pike I fish for. (I use a light weight rod, 6 lb fireline and throw primarily plastics). From my first to last cast today, this reel was a champ. VERY smooth line let-out and line retrieval. No noise or vibrations while casting or reeling. When the bigger fish started to throw their weight around, the drag was smooth and worked flawlessly! This reel is visually appealing, lightweight and durable! I’m newer at fishing so it makes me somewhat nervous using reels I’m not familiar with but the Flame immediately took away my hesitations. I would highly recommend this reel for both individuals who may be new or established with fishing. It is a “user forgiving” reel and can be depended on when hooking into a good fish!!! The best part is, ITS AFFORDABLE! You’re getting a quality built reel for minimal cost! I will be buying a couple more for my ice fishing ventures as well! Very very happy with my purchase of the Flame! I HIGHLY recommend it!

The flame is awesome!!! The reel is beautifully designed and fishes amazingly. The gear ratio is perfect to use as a drop shot reel and lots of other finesse type fishing. The drag works great and does well against both largemouth and smallmouth. It has a huge spool to hold about any size line you want. The casting is smooth and will cast long distances with ease. This reel overall is a top tier reel in my opinion. I now own two of these reels to use for river fishing and finesse in the lakes!!!

Got this in today and went to break it in. I wanted a light setup and got the 2000 model it has a super smooth casting amd retrieval i have a KastKing Centron 3000 and i could say its the same thing with different name and for a fraction of the price. Definately recommend cant wait to see how it handles a bigger fish

I have been looking for a smaller reel for a ul rod I use for hiking into remote ponds and lakes. Saw this one and have purchase other products from Piscifun so I was very confident buying another reel. The reel game very quickly and was packaged in a very sturdy Piscifun flame box. I managed to find a day last weekend to give it a try. This reel didn’t disappoint. It’s very well built and held up to all the abuse of hiking back into the wilderness and shore fishing. The reel is very smooth and has no play. I would buy this reel again without a second thought.

Ignore the rubbish about oversized bail arm and all the other nonsense, this is a top quality product, price unbelievable for what you get. Surpassed my expectations.. smooth action, top drag has a great sound when spool spins, almost like a tiny bell ringing... turn the handle and it spins endlessly... bailarm clicks back with assurance when turning to lock, light and balances well, easy on the eye and on par with shimano but fraction of the price. Don’t question it, just buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

This reel is great. I have taken it out a few times now catching smallmouth, drum and a few channel cats. It has performed perfect. I love that it’s braid ready. The color scheme and design look amazing. I have it spoiled up with 15lb braid and it is smooth casting and has handled everything I have thrown and caught. Highly recommend this reel. I have the 2000 size and plan on getting more.

Took this reel out for the first time yesterday. We (my teenagers and myself) had multiple birds nests from the anti-reverse randomly not staying engaged. I gave my boys a hard time for not using the reel properly and then used the reel and it happened to me. Oops, sorry boys. If you went to set the hook or needed to tug a lure out of a snag and your hand wasn't on the reel handle the reel might randomly not hold the anti-reverse and start spinning in reverse making a mess out of your line. I went to make a video of the problem today and I can't get the reel to have the issue. My guess is that there is too much grease or something holding the latch open internally and it appears with time it may work just fine. Other than this issue the reel is pretty nice and very smooth especially given the lower price this reel sells for.
