  • I purchase left hand. They give you 2 options right or left handed. I have checked and it's pretty tight so didn't mess with it. I'm right handed but left handed makes it easier to cast.

There's a wheel inside the left brake, has 6 spikes, plastic ends on top of each; how do you control the brake force using those?

  • It's fixed. You can't change it. It's my first baitcaster so I can practice on.

      This reel is very good for beginners. If you are a beginner I expect you to get one of these, however, I'm not sure about it's durability. That's the concern about this reel.a

      Light works great! I put some half dead plants under it along with some seedlings and they are now doing great! Seedlings went from fairly small to big hearty plants in just 2 weeks.

      This reel works very well for a great price. make sure you oil it, but, I must admit, I use it as much as my Lews and Diawa reels.

      I initially bought 6 of these reels the first time, and have since, bought two more. I use them for spider rigging. They work great. They have some issues but for twenty bucks you can't go wrong with this reel. If you set the drag lightly, it tends to back off to no drag.

      Honestly I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't get what I wanted the HollandStar LED put that fear to rest...Great light at great value and more importantly my plants love it.wish I could dim this bad boy at night and I'd never turn it off
