Questions & Answers
Yes, the detecting range is 12V-1000V

Depends on how close the wires are to the back of the sheetrock. It will detect an electrical field from about an inch (2.5 cm) away. So if the wires are run through the middle of your wall studs, this most likely won't detect them.

This is actually our 2nd time buying this product because unfortunately the first one got left on the counter and fell victim to a puppy who likes to chew things. I had never used one until we bought a new house, and, like a noob, assumed if you turned off the right fuses you didn't really need one. I wanted to switch out all the old outlets and light switches and found out the hard way that you can never really tell for sure how a previous owner has run wires or labelled fuses. Luckily it only took that one time getting zapped for me to finally listen to my husband and ALWAYS check with the voltage tester before you go around switching wires willy nilly. It's a one-button device with beeps AND colored lights, so there's really no way for even someone like me to mess it up.

I've had this for a couple of years, using it three or four times a week; so I've dropped the thing at least a thousand times. It just slides out of my shirt pocket (my fault) and it's high, high quality. It's drop-rated for 10 feet I think. I broke the clip trying to force it into my tool belt ( my fault). Otherwise it would have held up. The tip bent a bit, from letting a co-worker borrow it (oh, MY fault)! So, I'll need a new one. Ultimately, a great durable little tool.

According to the specific situation, it is convenient to check the broken wire. The electric pen is also very good. Five star high praise, beautiful testing pen, safe and non-contact induction, is very suitable for electricians like us. Ha ha, we have a sense of achievement in our own detection, and the most important thing is to be safe and reliable

The electric pen started to experience when it arrived. It's really good to use. Now everything is advanced. It's much more advanced than the old model I used before. It's very good to use, and the detection response is very sensitive. It can separate the zero wire and the live wire without touching it. It improves the security. It's no longer worried about being electrified. It's really a good product

The electric pen is very sensitive. You can know the zero fire line as soon as you test it. It's easy to use and it's as easy to use as the description. Moreover, you can check the line without turning on the light at night. It is strongly recommended that you can buy what you need. The price is cheap, the quality is really good, and the handle is very good.

Wow! I was impressed by the usefulness of this little gadget, especially when I was trying to find the hot wires on my smoke detector boxes, which had all kinds of color schemes. This little guy even comes with with a flashlight to help you look in dark places! It's important to verify that your power is off in certain areas that you're trying to repair after you switched the circuit breakers to the off position and you don't remember if you did or not. That happened to me a couple of times but this tester warned me before starting to mess around with live wires! So, right there it made it worth its value. All in all, this is a good tool to have in your arsenal. It's not only helpful in your electrical repair endeavors but it also helps you find dead outlets, lights, etc. with minimum effort otherwise. Highly recommended!
