It is really a must have kit when you tinker in electronics or even in electricity. I spend my time stripping the cutter, here I am with a tool that requires no force and is fast. Metal mechanism therefore optimal durability. All bits for crimping are provided. The time saving is a few seconds each time but which gives hours and hours of time saving in the end. The finish of the set is perfect, and the pouch delivered with is ideal. I'm very happy.

Quality pressing tools. I have been using it for two weeks in various cable jobs. High quality tools for professional work in the industry. It comes with a practical case to keep all the pieces together. When you change position to apply pressure, a good ratchet mechanism keeps the tool down. The extensive crimping template means that you can use this kit to connect almost all small terminals. I recommend removing the crimping templates from the bag in the suitcase and filling them with crimpers, this will make the suitcase even more useful! It includes: - Housing crimping tool - Allen wrench / reversible screwdriver - Screw bag - 3 sets of crimping template This tool has a quick clamping function, so it can be held firmly when trimming excess copper and applying Crimp welding terminal if you want to use it this way. In general, products at reasonable prices are very good. Recommended.

I like this crimping kit. The quality of crimping tools is the best tool I have used. These are also the best wire stripper I've used so far. I have used standard side nose pliers before, but I am using pliers from an economical electronics kit, none of which is available. The wire stripper is easy to remove some extension cables 8 mm thick, as easy as the small wire stripper inside. For crimping tools, the interchangeability of the inserts can really help people like me who can't afford expensive kits or have a million different crimping tools. A small hexagonal screwdriver is also a good option.

Comes with all the jaws as stated. Does not come with any kind of paperwork to inform you what jaws work with or for what crimp terminals. Seems to be a fairly strong tools. Attention to detail is poor as the color coding for basic terminals is wrong. I didn’t notice it was wrong in the pics till I had it in my hand.

I didn't notice that I was not buying the standard yellow-red-blue die, Meterk offers several versions. I am not sure what type of terminal this die was designed to use. I have some non-insulated connectors that are 6mm,2.5mm, and 1.5mm. I used the appropriate slot in the die, but It often jammed, leaving the connector stuck in the die. I finally bought the Farwind Paron JX-1601-01 die for 9 bucks and it now works on the "standard" insulated yellow-red-blue terminals. The jaws are wider than the portion of your connector that you want to crimp. You must carefully insert only the part you wish to crimp. The jaws will cover the wire attachment point which makes inserting the wire into connector a little more challenging. If you accidentally insert too much of connector into the jaws, they will jam on the solid center and you have to fiddle with the release to get the jaws to open. This isn't a deal breaker, but it could slow you down, The plastic handles are firm, don't slip and the crimp itself is solid. The yellow-red-blue die doesn't appear to abrade the plastic coating. If there is a mechanical advantage due to ratcheting, it wasn't noticeable. I assume that the ratcheting feature is to ensure that each crimp gets sufficient pressure to ensure complete contact closure. If for any reason, you are unable to completely close the crimp, the jaws lock. Then the release can also jam unless you can increase the pressure enough to take the tension off the release lever. Overall quality is good. The splices I made were rock-solid. As with any tool, it may require a little practice to become efficient.

Started out being a great set and the strippers still work really well. However the dies for the crumpet have broken in two places and makes the most common die for me useless ... now to see if I can get new dies for it or not Although note that I am a full time mechanic and have used the set almost every day for the last 6 months so it has gotten its use I suppose

I originally used a "DuPont" crimping machine, but the crimping port on the jaws was small and not suitable for the automotive work I had to do. The different crimping mechanisms and sizes make it difficult to understand what crimping tool you need. I need a tool that can crimp the automotive-type wires so that the male / female pins can get caught in the wires and then inserted into the appropriate male / female connector housing. It must be perfect: any deformation of the crimp closure means that the pins will not be inserted. The tool comes with different interchangeable jaws, and I discovered that the jaws already in place are perfect for crimping these 1.5-2 automotive connector pins, which I think is correct. Since the tool allows progressive compression in the crimping closure, perfect crimping is achieved every time, so you can be sure that it is perfectly aligned before the final clamping. It perfectly hooks the silicone cover tube and the internal copper cable to the two-step jaw (the copper crimp is smaller and tighter than the silicone cover tube). With this tool, I can crimp more than 40 pins without a single error, and all the pins are perfectly inserted into the connector housing after crimping. Trying to do this without the right tools is almost impossible, but it will definitely take a long time. This tool is really worth it to me. It works well every time, and the waterproof effect seems good from the end result. I will fully recommend the tool; I should do most of the work, but you must understand the chin required to do this, and I don't think the product description really makes it clear. Besides, he says nothing. Like me, you can take the opportunity and assume that a set of jaws will do the work for you, but find out what could be trial and error. There must be one in the toolbox. It is inevitable that there are cable connections, so it is necessary to perform crimping work from time to time.

Like the handle construction, ratchet, and all that... The crimp die/head is lacking.. If your looking at the colored dots and wondering why the yellow is so small.. It's not the "Big" yellow, but the small one.. Mini crimps.. This also uses the narrow rib style dies not the wider.. So if your thinking (as I was) of using this for dies you may have gotten with another crimp tool to avoid having to change things out.. It very well may not fit..

Not bad for the price. Crimper does a good job on your standard red/yellow/blue 10-22AWG crimp connectors (although crimping 10 or 12 AWG requires gorilla strength). I tried them on some smaller connections and didn't have much luck. The jaws are fairly easy to change out with the included tool. As for the strippers, again they're just OK. They just kind of grab and tear the insulation off and you have to adjust them to get the right pressure for different wire gages and insulation types. It gets the job done but isn't fantastic.

The wire stripper is actually pretty decent, better the then 20 some odd dollar ones I got from an auto store. The ferrule crimping tool has a ridge that goes down the length of each opening and it has sharp edges the tent to cut the ferrule when its fully crimped. That kind of really sucks because if you crimp it twice, once on either side, you end up cutting the metal and now the rounded off end of the ferrule is pretty much pointless. On a good note, the crimp jaws change out really easily.

The wire stripper works pretty well. It doesn't seem to cut the insulation on bigger wires, so much as just pull the insulation and snap it off. It usually ends up braking a few small strands in the process. Overall they work pretty well. What I'm disappointed in overall is the crimping tool. First off, the dies on mine are color coded incorrectly. The Yellow is the smallest opening and the Blue is the largest. In all of my crimping supplies the Yellow is the largest and the red is the smallest. This was a little confusing at first, but I went by size and not color. My next complaint is that the crimper goes one click too far when crimping and it cuts the insulation on the connector. It would be perfect if it would stop one click sooner, but since you cant release the ratcheting until you have gone all the way through there is no work around (yes I did try all the different dies). Overall this kit is adequate and will save some time, but the quality just isn't what I was hoping for.

These tools are of slightly better than average quality. You get a lot of dies for the crimp tool. I bought the package mostly for the wire stripper because I already have much more robust crimp tools. The wire stripper seems to work fine in my limited testing to date. It's nice that you don't have to select the wire size in advance like you do with some of the simpler, less expensive strippers.
