A Work Area: 10.5 * 10cm. The working principle of laser engraving machine is produced by laser, mirror by transmission through aggregation lens processing items, so that the processing of goods (surface) by strong heat and temperature increased dramatically, so that the point due to high temperature deformation, thus the shape was born. thanks
A This machine can not engrave metals. Reflective things are generally more difficult to carve, but painted with dark things can be carved. thanks
A Replacement is very simple, Split design，the machine and laser head is separated. Customers need to install it . and no replacement with the laser, a machine with only a laser head. thanks

This is a quality build. It comes 95% preassembled. The laser attaches with two screws, and the bottom plate attaches with some glue or double-sided sticky tape. Then it's done and ready to go. The engraver is compact but has "presence". Meaning, it's looks really cool sitting on your desk and people will definitely ask you about it. The hardware itself is really awesome! The circuit is very easy to take out and the connectors are all easy to attach / detach. It can be easily changed to work with a homebrew Arduino or even RaspberryPi. The laser is excellent and very powerful, with variable power settings. The fan clears the smoke. The whole thing is solid (make sure to attach the plate with glue or double sided sticky tape). The software is very easy to use, however it has some minor bugs. I had to restart an etching a few times to get it to work. The software only works on windows (or Windows emulator on Linux/Mac). But again... the price is awesome for a ready-to-use laser engraver. The hardware is awesome. This is a review of a gratis unit. It works well. Hardware is great.

This is a great desktop laser engraver. It requires very little assembly (laser installation) and its compact size makes it a nice addition to any desk. After installation of the included software, I started engraving right away. Both projects turned out excellent. The product is sturdy and did not move during the engraving process. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is curious about laser engraving. NOTE: The product may come with either a CD or a flash-drive for the engraver's software. Mine included a flash-drive.

Piuttosto buono!

This is a really cool little engraver. It was very easy to set up and figure out. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far. It really can't engrave on a toothpick, FYI. I got this to engrave titles on security RFID cards. I'm not a fan of the text input unit comes with but I did find a work around that I like. I just have to do all my text in paint program, save it, and drag it over. I can control how big or small with that and I can even adjust a little as to where the text shows up. If you are interested at all in one of these, it's well worth the cost. I really love the saved image it feature.

I ordered the product earlier this week and got it today, (Go prime!) but everything was packaged perfectly! I only had a chance to use it for a few minutes, but the pre-programmed feature worked flawlessly and it was really interesting seeing the laser at work, burning the design into the wood that was provided! The box came with no dents or any blemishes on it, and the product was packaged snugly in there as well. It came with all of the necessary cords and the installation disc. The only thing I will say is that I am not able to use the disc, as my computer does not have a CD drive (This may just be an oversight on the companies part, but I have also emailed them asking for the drivers to get the software on my computer as well). I will update this review when I get that software and I am able to use the product for my own designs and purposes. Update as of 7/16: I have had the software installed for about a week now (Found a friend with a CD Drive) and was able to get it all. The program is a little clunky, but everything works well. As another review said, it is better to do text editing and stuff like that in another program, save it and then drag and drop it into their program. This is the fastest and easiest way of doing this. Disclaimer: I did receive the product at a discounted rate in order to review the product.

I bought this not knowing what to expect. I figured it might be junk and I had set my expectation low. I was so wrong. This device is great! it took less than 5 minutes to do what it said it would do. The software is a bit clunky but reliable, not a single crash. I have put about 50 items through it and am amazed at the power and speed at which it works. My only suggestion is that you get a mask to protect yourself from the smoke fumes. The integrated fan will get the fumes out of the cutting area but then they just float up so be careful. The case is solid and the product is well packed when it arrives. So far I have engraved, wood, paper, and plastic. What an amazing little device. The tray has rubber bands to keep things in place but if you put some rubber mat down it seems to work just as well.

This is an honest review, from a real user (no discounted or free machine for my review), I paid full retail, and only leave honest reviews, because anything else would be a huge waste of my time (and yours). Let's cover some basics about this machine. - Out of the box, I had my machine engraving within 15-minutes, and that includes the unpacking, reading the instructions, and installing the driver and software. - It's smaller than a gumball machine, so don't expect to get any commercial use out of it. - The area that it's able to engrave is only about 1.5" x 1.5", so you're not going to engrave a huge design, or any huge objects (see gumball reference) - It can engrave metal that has some kind of coating, but not the metal itself, this is a hobby machine, with hobby power on the laser - I does not engrave glass - While it is considered an engraver, keep in mind that it's actually burning and not using a physical scribe to etch - The software is very basic, but very easy to use. (It only runs on Windows, although I have not tried running it through BootCamp or Parallel) - It does not take G-code (if you don't know what G-code is, you don't have to worry about this point) - It works with raster images (.jpg, etc.), not vector (.ai, .eps, etc.) (besides, it has a small active engraving area) - The laser moves on one axis, and the media table on another (for those who are curious) - Included is green tinted safety glasses. If you plan on watching the engraver in action, USE THEM. That being said, I watched a YouTube video of this machine before I even bought it. I would highly recommend searching and watching the video so you understand that out of the box, it does require you to install the laser/heatsink module yourself (it secure with two screws, which the screws and screwdriver is provided). It did not come with a power adapter, but it comes with a power cord (which one side plugs into the machine, and the other side plugs into a USB adapter (which was not provided, but most people have several from smartphones and tablets), It was a very quick setup and I hit the ground running. This is a machine for a hobbyist more than anything else (and even then, the instructions say to let the machine rest for a few minutes for every 25-minutes of engraving time). The mini-CD that was included contained the application, the user's manual (in .pdf form), and a small collection of logos and drawings that you could use to test out. The box came with a sample piece of wood that was engraved as well as a few blank wood pieces for you to test out. I started off by engraving on a piece of cardboard, it was quick and I was impressed by the thinness of the engraving line. I'm currently scrounging around my house to find other things I can try and engrave. The only thing that I would recommend is that you find a well ventilated area to use this machine. I was basically only burning paper, and the design was no larger than 1.5" and I didn't care for the smell. It's kind of funny that they put a little fan on the machine, because it's virtually useless, but does make the machine look a little more industrial (as can be given it's small stature). If you're looking for something that it going to take care of the medals, awards, crystal paperweights, etc. I would suggest you look for a professional trophy shop or sign shop because they would most likely be the ones that have the commercial/industrial size and strength laser engraver/cutter that you need. I have a commercial laser engraver/cutter, which requires a much longer setup and configuration. It also requires all images to be vector, which isn't always easy to come by or convert. It can do all the tricks, with the bells and whistles - it also cost over $10,000 (because it's a bigger one with a stronger laser). So when people complain about what this machine can't do, I suggest they go out and get a machine that can. I like this machine for what it can do, and I don't expect it to do any more than what the specification can say it can do. It was super simple to setup and VERY easy to use. It is a great machine for hobbyist, nothing more.

This product does an amazing job when you look at it compared to the cost of the machine. If you expect more for 125 than you are just one of those people that will never be happy no matter what the situation is. I've read other reviews regarding the slow speed; I'm not experiencing that at all. I imagine the processing speed of the computer plays a role in data transfer rate. I also am using one of the lighting or super fast (whatever they are called) usb cables. My opinion is to not write this off based on a few people that said they have had issues. If you do expierence the slowness, try upgrading your hardware (even just the usb cord) and I bet you will see a difference. This engraver would work great for any hobbyist/scrapbooker/etc. I use it to add my logo to wooden products that I make/sell at my barbershop. It gives the items I sell a little added touch that helps justify the prices I charge!

I use this engraver to cut my logo into small round wooden disks that I embed into my projects. It does a great job. If my business does well I may eventually but a more powerful laser so that the wooden disks can be cut out at the same time. For now this engraver serves my purpose nicely.

I purchased this to engrave wooden nickels. So far this has worked pretty good. I am still working on figuring out how to best use the software, but I am quite happy with the results. I recommend this for anyone looking to do some small scale wood engraving. It is reported that it works on plastic, paper and leather as well, but I have not used it for that as of yet. I've included a photo of our logo engraved on it.

I purchased this for my business (Waltz Collections) to do engraving on my hand-turned wooden pens and turnings. I'm completely satisfied with the product. It's compact, easy to setup and use and performs very well. The price was excellent and the followup from the vendor checking to see if I was satisfied was nice to receive. I recommend this highly for it's intended purpose. The attached picture was the first test I did with it.
