As mentioned by others it comes with no instructions and the link to download them on says download limit reached. Anyway, there are some youtube videos and the one that is short and fast seems best and pointed out where I was going wrong. To use this kit you need to unplug the display PCB from the main board. The display board then gets screwed to the sheet with lots of holes in it using the four small screws and nuts. I then thought they had not provided enough push button extenders with only three provided and four slider switch extenders. I then realised that the push button extenders were two joined together and just snap down a pre-cut to make two. These all then sit in holes on the top sheet and the two identical sheets surround the display PCB putting the four long screws in from the top and four nuts on the bottom to hold the sandwich of perspex sheets together. You can then refit the main PCB making sure that the three slide switch extenders go over the pegs of the PCB slider switches. Before you push the PCB down completely you need to put the rear perspex sheet over the BNC input signal connector as it won't go on later. Put four more nuts on the bottom of the PCB (not too tight or the push buttons or slide switches won't work - check they still click okay). Put on the front and side perspex sheets followed by the base and lastly the four dome nuts which make the feet. The kit could do with four more nuts so you could clamp both sides of the main PCB and of course some instructions. Otherwise it seems to do the job.

If you have bought the DSO138 oscilloscope and gone to the trouble of building it I would thoroughly recommend investing in this item to protect your time/money investment. It also makes the oscilloscope easier to use as you can stand it up on its edge to view the traces while protecting the board from stray wires and other potential damage. It's pretty well designed with most of the holes aligning with the ports on the board but the probe calibration hole could do with being a bit bigger. Construction is another issue. There are absolutely no instructions. Yes, there are YouTube videos but they are usually of people who are also guessing at the construction. It's not too difficult to figure it out however but how hard would it be to include an exploded view or a link to a website with instructions? My tip would be to start from the front panel and build down from there but don't do the nuts up too tight or the buttons won't work!

Though the links didn't work for the instructions and none were included, I quickly found a video on You Tube and started assembling the case. Once complete I realised things didn't quite line up and so had to strip it down and file some of the holes out to get the buttons to push without sticking. I had to cut a bigger hole in the back for the test point as well. For the money I think its quite good as it protects the scope very well, but it would be nice if someone at the company would correct the obvious manufacturing problem, as I would struggle to suggest products from this company to student or family having put this case together.

A little puzzling to put together as no instructions, however I like that sort of thing and enjoyed the process of figuring it out; its not that hard once you lay it all out logically. (here's a clue: the screws go up from the bottom, using 2 bolts on each one as a spacer to lift the main PCB) Not bad quality for the money
