This chair is great. I have seen other types at my friend’s house, and I prefer this one. I weigh 230 pounds and have an outer diameter of 72 inches. It doesn't bend at all. The height is adjustable for easy movement up and down. I am not that disabled, I need a shower chair, but sitting in the shower and falling on me is very good! It is easier and safer to wash your lower limbs while sitting. I wish I had bought this long ago.

This is my second shower chair. My first one broke down after a month of use, so sturdiness is a focus. The crossbar bracket is what drove me to this chair, it is the chair that suits me. The crossbars ensure the safety of the legs, and I can adjust the chair higher to make it easier to stand up. The assembly instructions are a bit vague, especially when connecting the crossbars. They are reassembled and screwed together. This makes some people raise their hands in disgust. The answer is simple. In components involving screws, the usual instructions are to connect all items, but do not tighten anything before connecting all items. Go get a screwdriver, loosen the screws on the bracket, and connect in the correct direction (it must have top and bottom, then tighten all the screws).

I ordered this for my elderly father. He sometimes feels weak in the shower. He put the whole chair together by himself. He said it was strong and would be good in the shower. His ACL was torn and he had an operation. A month later, he slipped on the truck, broke his knee, and tore his muscles and tendons. This chair is of very good quality. After seeing a lot of chairs, I have to agree with the evaluation of this chair: it is strong, feels solid, and it is not too big that you can't operate it in the bathtub. It was really difficult for me to sit down for the first time because the shower curtain kept getting in the way, but it was obviously the operator's fault. Once I was in place, I felt safe and there was no danger of falling. I did have a bit of difficulty in assembling the seat. Two people are ideal, but I don't have an assistant. It was a bit difficult to fix the bolts in place, but after some argument, I succeeded and assembled a chair. A person with strong hands may not be in trouble. No tools are really needed. I prefer to use this chair to take a shower. To be honest, some days I don’t feel strong enough to stand up and take a shower, so I skip the shower, uh. . . . Now I can take a shower every day safely.

I bought this because I am getting lazy and sometimes I just want to sit in the bathroom, haha. But for more practical reasons, this is good. My eyesight is not good, so it is a big height for me to support my feet and shave my legs. The height of the legs is adjustable and has remained the same so far. I have been there for a few months. I am getting older, so if I really "need" a shower chair, or if a guest needs it, I have one. I also use it to take my laundry basket off the floor or sit on it while I dry my hair. It looks like a durable piece of equipment, but my bathroom is not at home, so I don't mind it is not that attractive. I saw some comments and complained about lining up the intersections. I read the instructions and found that if you just put the screws in the holes first, without tightening them until all the screws are in place, then the assembly will be smoother. This works very well for me.
