If you have the newest MacBooks and the latest chromebooks, you know that it has USB type C ports. The amount of USB ports is extremely limited on these laptops because they want to build thinner and thinner laptops. Even the optical CD drive is removed now from most notebooks. Therefor the devlopment of adapters has taken a shine. What I like about this adapter is that is has a ethernet port and a VGA port. This means you can have wired internet connection which is faster than using Wifi. For me this is extremely useful because I use a MacBook at work and sit at my desk. The connection can be slow sometimes but now I can use the hub for better connection. Addtionally because of the VGA port I can have an addtional monitor set up for two screens or using the HDMI port. The hub itself is small and compact. For me I love this because I like keeping my desk minimal as possible.

It's a great adapter, we can just plug it into the MacBook USB port and then get all the ports that I used to have in my old dell computer When I first got the MacBook I was really nervous about this computer having to buy really expensive adapter from apple but this one is much cheaper and works better

This is well designed USB C hub. The following areas of the hub I find useful: 1. Wide variety of sockets in small package (USB C, 3x USB A 3.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ-45 2. LED indicator to know when the hub is connected to a computer 3. Thick, flexible connection cable 4. 4 rubber feet to improve stability on smooth surfaces 5. Small dimensions (18 mm thick, 60 mm deep, 108 mm wide 6. Good user manual, that is written in proper English and contains drawings 7. Straight forward installation and operation If I had to point out at something that I would prefer slightly different it would have been length of connection cable that is only 13 cm. This is good for portability but makes the area close to my laptop a bit too clattered for my OCD. I am sure though that this is just a matter of preference. Country of Origin PRC

Nice housing, very practical, and a good buy for the money since it has got everything that i need. It does charge HP laptops, specifically the Spectre 13t, but I'm not speaking for all here. One major discouraging thing is that whenever you disconnect the USB C port, every other port will stop working for about 2 seconds and then goes back to fully functional. Otherwise, a good product.

Surprisingly solid piece of tech. It feels heavy, and the materials feel like quality. It has everything I expected based on the description for a great price. I used this for a Dell Latitude 7275 2-in-1 tablet, and it did the job. The only negative this is the USB C cable to the computer is very short, about 4" long. That means that if I have the tablet propped up a bit, the hub will dangle in the air. Functional, but not ideal for my setup. Also, this requires an external power source, i.e. USB C adapter. Great for traveling, but not for an office.

I've been using this product for over a month now and I can't complain about it in any way. It works great with my monitors and any peripherals I attach with a USB. The product can get a little hot and it does drain battery power if you use it with a laptop on battery so recommend you plug the power into the USBc slot and charge that way rather then charge your laptop and then have the device pull power over the laptop battery, it will give less stress to the laptop battery. Another note you can only use one screen with this so if you plan to use the HDMI and VGA connection it won't work. You can only use one or the other.

This is my review for the Dodocool USB-C Hub Type C Charger with Power Delivery Charging Port ( 3 USB 3.0 Ports, 4K Video HD/VGA Output Port, Gigabit Ethernet Adapter ) for MacBook/MacBook Pro/G USB-C oogle Chromebook Pixel. It's so fast too!! In Conclusion. What can i say. This is a Fantastic quality item at a very reasonable price, I cannot find anything negatives to say about this item, so i'm happily giving it 5 stars.

This USB-C hub provided all the connections I needed for my Macbook. Before I have had separate adaptors for a USB hub and another for HDMI/SVGA/Ethernet but this delivers it in one device. USB Hub: ======== I really like that it has the USB-C charging port (that works!) so that you can power your device whilst using the hub, which other hubs had lacked. It is compact at 107mm (L) x 58mm (W) x 16mm (D). The cable has solid connectors and shows no signs of loosening so far. The case is solid and doesn’t show up finger marks. There are rubber feet for grip on the desk. Ports: ===== I’ve connected my Macbook to my TV via the HDMI and it works fantastic. The VGA worked perfectly with my projector and the RJ045 Ethernet port ensures great internet connection. The 3x USB 3.0 ports work without any problems. If there is a problem then a 12-month warranty is supplied. Overall, it does everything I need in one hub and I’ve been delighted by it. I can’t fault it and it gives my Macbook the versatility of its USB-C hub without the need for carrying multiple other USB-C hubs. There are other hubs available but it’s worth buying one that can allow connection to all the devices you need, however some are definitely better than others. I can say this one does work!

Everything works... However, I docked it one star because of the length of the cord being too short for my tablet. My type-c connection is at the top of my tablet and the cable coming from the hub is too short resulting with the hub dangling in midair. I expected this, so I purchased a male-female type-c 7" extension cable rated for 10GB speeds. The HDMI out with the extension cable plugged in does not work and the picture on the monitor flickers tremendously. The VGA port seems to work with the extension cable,a wireless mouse, and USB 3.0 flash drive plugged in. I cannot use an external hard drive and video out at the same time, probably because I need DC in from a power supply. This is something I can test in the near future. tl;dr The hub is great and would be 5 stars if the type-c connection to the device was tripled the length (12" vs 4").

For the price, this dock is pretty great. I bought this to use with my 2016 MacBook Pro 15", and unlike some of the other reviews here that are obviously paid for by dodocool, I bought this myself and have no affiliation with them at all. PROS: - Small and light enough to take anywhere - HDMI works well at 1080p 60hz and 4k at 30hz. 60hz does not work with 4k (but I knew that going in) - Has USB PD (although this is a con as well) - Doesn't cause any interference in the wifi or any other connection on the laptop. - All the ports work simultaneously (except VGA and HDMI). I use the ethernet, all the USB ports, USB C charging, and HDMI all at the same time and everything works without a hitch CONS: - If you have a laptop that requires more than 55w of power to charge, this WILL NOT charge the laptop. The max output of this, even with a 87w charger connected to it, is 55w. This is NOT enough to charge a 15" MacBook Pro, but IS enough to charge a 13". It keeps my 15" powered, but if you're doing something demanding, the laptop will lose charge. - This thing has the WORST port placement I've ever seen. There is no combination of things you can plug in that won't make a mess of wires everywhere. I highly recommend getting a USB C extender and using that to hide this unit somewhere else so you don't have to deal with the mess of wires coming out of it, or worse, break one of the things plugged into it This product isn't posted in the right Amazon category, so it's not with the other USB C docks/adapters. I've tried quite a few of these things and this is the only one that had ethernet, power, HDMI, and USB A ports.

Very useful compact designed hub that gives you the addition of three super speed USB ports, a type-c charging port, a HDMI output port, a VGA port and a RJ-45 Ethernet port, the USB ports allow three simultaneous connections of USB-A devices to with a transfer rate of up to 5 gigabytes per second and is also backwardly compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. The USB-C port allows you to use this hub while also charging your device which means it can remain plugged in without the worry of running low on power. I gave this a good test with several USB devices all working flawlessly and when testing data transfer it was extremely fast, I tested a mouse which worked perfectly as expected, I would note due to the this is not good for charging devices such as phones or larger power consumption devices but it really isn’t its purpose so not really a negative more an observation. I tested both the HDMI HD output and the VGA output both displaying perfectly both streaming and mirror display to a monitor and without the need to install drivers extremely easy to set up. What I liked ************* - Nice lightweight and compact - Three super speed USB 3.0 Ports - Backwardly compatible USB posts to USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 - Both HD and VGA ports for displaying to TV or Monitor - Ready to go right out of the box. No driver required - Ability to charge device while in use - Ethernet connection What I Didn’t Like ******************** - I haven’t found anything not to like about this, if I was going to be really picky the instructions are very small print Summary *********** Overall this is a great little device that really delivers, I would certainly recommend it.
