No, it works directly without having to install a driver, at least in El Capitan and Sierra.

Dear John M., Thanks for reaching out, this provide 30W max. via power delivery. so if you have a 15' 2016 macbook pro which has an 87 watt adapter, this won't pass through the full 87. Hope this will help you. Best Regards,

Hi, as far as it supports USB-C, it should work fine. Anyway, better ask to Razer if a standard USB-C ethernet adapter works.

I received this light for free as a package deal when I bought the Lixada Moving Head Gobo. It puts out a good amount of light for it's size but the directions are horrible! I am using it with a DMX controller and using 3 channels to program scenes. You have to keep your eyes on the light chart and watch the numbers closely on the controller to get the color you want displayed. Very difficult(I have little patience) to use with the DMX. But once set up, it's works like a charm. Probably better used as a wash light and setup without using DMX. I have it on my light stand and at times I don't want it on when the other lights are doing their thing. Very light weight. The reason for the 4 star rating is the difficulty in programming with DMX and the horrendous directions. Overall, I'd say it's a good light for the price and if you don't abuse it, it should hold up fairly well. Update: About 3 months ago I ordered 4 more of these lights. I guess I didn't think much of them didn't I? :) I probably won't care too much of them in a couple months when I get 10 more for uplights! No really, don't expect professional quality and results but for a small time dj, they are perfect. It is kind of weird to look at it when it is making certain colors and you see a combination of colored lights. But when you look at the wall it is facing, you say yeah that's the color I was looking for. Again, if you can treat the light with kid gloves, it should last and be a productive member of your lighting system.

The tiny size of this stage light might make you think it can't do very much. In fact, this thing does at least two dozen color combinations and strobe effects. In fact, you'll want to set aside some time to read the manual and figure out how it all works. And put the manual in a safe place, because you'll need it again. This light is bright, fun, and does lots of cool functions. An excellent light for the price.

With Android phones start to build without the 3.5mm jack, I need something to charge the phone while listening to music or movie at the same time. This does the job. However, it's size is too big to use with smart phone. Hopefully Dodocool will read my comment and make a compact version in the future with just the power pass through port and an USB-C for headphones.

This is my review of the Lixada DMX-512 RBGW Stage Led. WHAT YOU GET IN THE BOX : 1 Lixada RGBW LED, the screws and metal bit to mount it, and an instruction manual. IN USE : No I'm not very "in the know" about these sort of devices, but what I do know is that this gets pretty bright, and the light reaches far, it has all kinds of effects, and has a DMX in and out. I've included a video of it in action. It's smaller than I thought it was going to be but that's not really a problem. The body is made of plastic but feels very sturdy. The little screen on the back is bright but I have no idea what it means. CONCLUSION : In conclusion, this is a little RGBW LED that I think would work great in any environment.

I bought this light strobe for my man cave/gaming room. When I play online games on a gaming site these led stage lights look really amazing going through the many light stages. There are many lightning stage setting including speed. I like my light stages at a medium speed. There are also setting if a person just wants 1 color. These lights and its stages also adds a relaxing decor/calm to my room. The design of this product is very well constructed even though it's made out of plastic. The strobe has a nice weight and never felt like it was going to break. The light strobe build has what I would call a medium size, but can easily mount to a wall or a stand. The lights are bright and colorful and can fill up many size of room. The lights are red, blue, green, white, purple. The stage lights don't rotate, but cycle through the many light options. I never felt any heat coming from this device and that would be after 7 hours straight some sometimes. I love there are some many light patterns and stages. A very nice device!!!

Pretty neat light.took me awhile to figure out but after understanding manual I figured it out. You need to hit the first button to school the the number each set does different lights and colors and speeds. When you find one you Luke hit last button to enter. Comes with a hanger also. Runs off a.c. adapter included

Tried 3-4 other hubs for my MacBook Pro 2016, but I settle with this after using this for a week. 1. USB PD: it delivers 55W full charge. 2. Ethernet: it shows above 80MB/s full performance with RTL8153 chip, no need to install driver on MacOS Sierra, unlikely AX88179 based usb ethernet. 3. USB 3.0, it shows 350MB/s with my samsung ssd (this bandwidth limited by SSD) No heat problem. some of hub stopped working due to the heat but not this one. No sleep problem, some of hub stopped working after waking up from the sleep. this is the docking solution for your new 2016 later 2016 macbook pro. This one doesn't have HDMI. but, at this moment, other hubs with HDMI(including Apple AV Adapter), only support 4K @ 30Hz not 60Hz. Until there is a hub that supports HDMI 4K@60Hz, this is the best solution. I connect my 4K monitor with a cable to the other thunderbolt 3 port. Note, if you are using the data transfer over USB(ssd), the ethernet speed is affected. I saws 80MB/s -> 40MB/s ethernet degraded on SSD data copy. the cable length is 6", a bit longer than apple av adapter.
