My first reaction when removing the ballhead from its box was the weight. Not that it is light or too heavy but that the weight indicates that it is solid metal and not plastic junk. And it has good drag and smooth motion when it is rotated on the base.The action is smooth,the knobs are rubberized when makes tightening and loosening much easier. When you tighten a knob it stays tight. Head stays in place even with large lens on DSLR, no creep. It really is the best tripod head I've owned.I love this tripod head!
