What I like about it? I like the size and weight of Yongnuo's 40mm. Its very light much like other pancake type lenses; something Nikon is lacking. Yes, it feels like plastic but I don't care as long as it can function well enough. What I don't like? It's relatively slow to focus, even after updating the firmware. Nothing terrible but don't expect to catch a fast moving subject with this lens. It also doesn't handle dark environments too well. Compared to my Nikkor 50mm 1.8G the 40mm can only keep up when the scene is well lit. I have to admit this product is not as bad as I thought it would be. Though, I wouldn't recommend this to a professional photographer. But for someone that wants to able to travel light and is not demanding with their equipment I think the 40mm is worth a look. Personally, you do get what you pay for. And for under 100 usd I have very little to complain about. It's a good lens for the money but if you don't mind spending more on, say, a 35mm f/1.8 prime then I would get that in a heartbeat.
