If this were plugged into USB power, could it run all day or does it only run off a charged battery?

  • I never tried to run it for extended times but I know it runs if it's plugged. I wouldn't leave it in for long though because it tends to heat up a little after a while

When fully charged, how long does the battery lasts? What type of battery is used and can they be replaced easily? Is the light dimmable?

  • It is built-in lithium battery, not 18650. So it is not easy to replace it. Light adjustable brightness in 9 steps.

Can this be attached to a dji osmo mobile 2?

  • If it doesn't have a hot shoe mount then technically no. However it is very lightweight so even mask taping it to the osmo would easily work

Is this a good light for night club vids or should I just invest in the actual video light ?

  • I have used it to light macro images. It's not very bright. Might help if you're close but I wouldn't think it would be of use in clubs.

      Love this little light. It is so bright and has a good battery life. I shot video using this at a graveyard in the dark in the middle of nowhere and it really lit things up so I had a clear video and it’s easy to attach to your camera

      Youtuber/pro photographer Peter Mckinnon loves these lights for good reason. Pros - Great value - Very bright for size - Charge lasts about 1.7 hrs at 100% brightness - Great for accent lighting on the go - Great for camera-mounted light for on the go - Comes with gels!! True Blue and True Orange Cons - Can't directly mount onto hotshoe adapter but must use plastic cradle thingy that comes with it Again, don't take my word for it. Just search Youtube for Aputure M9 review and watch the magic happen. I of course wanted the updated RGB version of this light but can't justify dropping $150 on it. Blue or Orange gel and I'm good to go.

      if this light was made for lightweight setup to use on gimbal, you need to get rid of that super heavy hot shoe clamp, it will interfere with gimbal arms when you switch from hi to low mode. On my sony a6500 @ crane 2 it does hit, i had to design and 3dprint my own mount to fit it on the right side of the cage, and also it moves it closer to the center of mass, crane 2 hates tall setups , they are hard to balance.. But this is all lyrics, the light itself is perfect!. Good on battery, around 2-3 hrs at middle\low power, good CRI, nice bag.

      We used this product on professional shoots several times and it works very well. Color temp is on point. And it is very bright for its size. Battery at full brightness isn't super long but the good news is it can be charged easily & quickly. It can also be used while charging so an external pack can be used if needed. It is super small and light and very very easy to fit in small places and hide. It's not going to balance out the sun by any means but for a quick light run & gun light that is < $50 is is well worth the price.

      I have used this light to do photoshoots inside of airports as my off camera light. Sure, you have to boost the ISO a bit, but it definitely gives you some crazy cool light shaping. This is the ultimate travel light, and I have ended up resorting to it so many times!
