    I bought this light for use in conjunction with my DSLR camera. The light takes 6 AA batteries. This may be an issue if you are using normal batteries as it could get quite expensive however I used 6 eneloop PRO batteries. In terms of performance I have not had to recharge the batteries in the light yet and I have used it to record 3+ hours of video footage. The light is very bright however not bright enough to cause distortion in the video quality. You can easily adjust the amount of light required. I prefer this light to using larger less portable lights and I take it everywhere my DSLR goes.
