It's lacking the glass piece for it, hence it limited in its focus abilities correct? If so, that's why. If not, I don't know.

It fits, and kinda works. Be warned, however: the increase in distance from the lens to the body changes the focus and effective F-stop. I tried this with a beloved 50mm F 1.4 lens, and found that the extended lens was dim and would not focus except in a narrow intermediate range.

Yes it would.

Sort of. Lengthening the barrel effectively reduces your aperture, and changes the focal range for the worse. If you think that the FD lens can be used normally with EOS with this ring without a correction lens (the infinity will appear), you should understand the difference between FD and EF "flange back" and play with the adapter. It's good. In order to use FD with EOS, pins can only come in the macro range without a correction lens. If you just use it and FD can be used normally with EOS, it's like a dream! I purchased it as a dedicated macro application that uses FD macro to digitally convert positive film. The preposition "At this price" is attached, but the molding, accuracy, and not worse than expected. The FD lens can be operated with the ring on the body side, so it is convenient because you can narrow down after turning the pin. One thing I was curious about was that when it was removed, it usually stopped at the position just above the pointer and pulled forward, but this ring rotates all the way, so it is difficult to understand the position to pull it out. Personally, it is good that FD and NFD groups that are considered to have better performance on average than EF can be used even in the limited macro range.
