In addition to the following two questions, it is an excellent adapter for excellent products 1) I bought two of them from different suppliers, but none of them appeared with an umbrella stop button. All images show them, but none of them have them. Without a knob, it is difficult to hold an umbrella or any other modifier. 2) The inclination occurs with noise, which is very rigid. Sometimes it is difficult to move.

Love this thing! It's well built, and well priced. I bought two, I've used it with Nikon SB800's, SB700's and SB910's with a variety of Elinchrom softbox sizes. What I love the most is being able to shoot with any of my softboxes and still retain TTL control. And I don't have to lug around the larger RXI units on a location shoot if I think my speedlights can do the trick. It fits snug and securely on all of my E-chrom mods, is very lightweight (great for booms). I might have to buy two more just for convenience!

Works well. The flash is held in place by tension from screwing down the top. There is no locking mechanism and I worry about it coming loose. So far no problems, but I can imagine a more secure design. This is the only flaw. Easy five stars if solved. I have used it with a Godox 360 (very big) and a Nissin i40 (pretty small), so there is significant size flexibility. . I have used it with a Rotalux deep octa and metal Elinchrom reflectors (Maxi Spot, etc) and it works well with both. One big advantage with this unit is that you can vary how deep the flash is inside the modifier, so you can optimize how the light fills the modifier. I found this can have a substantial impact on the quality and quantity of light, at least with the Godox 360. It is best to figure this out by testing in advance if it matters to you. Another important advantage is that this unit will accept the Elinchrom deflectors (or Elinchrom compatible umbrellas--those with a small enough shaft and light enough weight). This allows for substantially more versatility--I value the variations achievable with the use of Elinchrom's deflector set.

I own a couple expensive Elinchrom octa softboxes. I love using them. Because they were so expensive and also because their such a pleasure to work with, I was excited about this bracket because it gives me the opportunity to extend the functionality of my softboxes. The idea: this is a bracket for holding virtually any speedlight, and it has the same mount on it (for softboxes, beauty dishes, etc.) as an Elinchrom monolight. This thing works exactly as I hoped. If I'm in a situation where I can't (or don't want to) use my monolights, I can pop a Canon (430EXII) speedlight into this thing. The bracket then mounts perfectly to my deep or wide octas. And I've used it with a basic bulb fixture and a high-output (300W equivalent) LED for simple continuous lighting for video. This cheap bracket has been awesome, and it's massively increased the value of my expensive Elinchrom gear.

A reasonably priced and effective bracket... holds my Deep Octa 39 just fine. I also wanted to mention that this bracket is cleverly designed... while the inner part is for Elinchrom mount, the outer edge of the circle is exactly the right size to allow for the standard rectangular / square Ezybox to attach to (though I don't think it would work with the octagonal Ezybox without the appropriate speedring added).
