The item works well on or off my camera without any leads it is much better than my none ttl flash i have been using this for a while now and i am very happy with it the power of the flash can be adjusted by three stops either way and that goes up in one thirds . there is also a manual mode that i dont really understand but you can change the shutter speed and that goes up to 1/128 that also goes up in one thirds you can change the zoom that goes from 18 mm to 180 mm . you also get another function menu if you long press the round center button you get things like auto off af light on or of there is a volume button but that only has on and off also you can set your language and if you mess it all up you can press the reset button one last thing as a new flash i tend to use it a lot so i can learn how to use it and i am still using the same batteries with no recharge so it appears to be very good with using the power .I accepted this product from the seller at a discounted price in exchange for my unbiased review. My feedback is honest and a true reflection on my experience with this product

I purchased this camera for My Canon 60D; the last flash I had was a SUNPAK manual bounce flash for my old Pentax K1000 (no megapixels, just film!). Having recently purchased my Canon 60D, I was resorting to using folded paper on the built-in flash to soften the brightness (while adding bounce ) to my photos; it worked pretty well, but there were signs of synchronization issues (imagine that!). anyway, I could not bring myself to pay $400+ for a Canon flash for the functionality I wanted - so after reading reviews and other information on this flash, I purchased one. I attached the camera, put my camera in auto mode, turned on the flash and camera, and took a few pictures, and viola! No messing around with settings - worked right out of the box. I've noticed a vast difference in the quality of the flash photos I've taken.. No more harsh flash, and with experimenting with the bounce, you will get varying effects on your subject and yes, warm tones! The LED screen is clear to understand; The on-off switch is a slider switch - I initially would've liked a momentary switch, but the benefit of the slider is that it prevents the flash from being inadvertently turned on in the bag. The other day, I realized I left the power on for about a week; I "woke up" the flash to discover that the batteries were STILL on full power! I highly recommend this flash for anyone - It is very simple for novices to use, with the opportunity to learn advanced flash photography techniques!

Works well with my Nikon D5300 and as a slave unit with my wife's Coolpix A10 compact camera. I'm sure that I haven't yet found out all its features, the manual is clearly a literal translation from Chinese and therefore needs a bit of interpreting. Still very good value for the money.

If you're looking for a Manual/Automatic flash this is the one to get. Using this on a Canon 5D and I couldn't be happier. Quick recharge time coupled with Manual/Automatic controls make this the flash to buy. The threads are plastic, but overall if you just start using it you'll probably forget you don't have a Canon speedlite mounted up there. This is a really great flash for those on a budget, and if you just want one flash to get you through those sessions where you really need it - hit the buy button. I did a ton of research and glad I went with this Andoer. This flash seems to work fine with all types of batteries, but the better the battery the better the performance.

I have the Canon 550EX and 580EX, I am very happy with this flash and on jobs, such as weddings, am confident to use instead of the Canon 580EX. The quality of construction appears seriously good quality, the rate of charge is rapid, and functions well on both my cameras. The main test will be the length of time it remains fully functional for a casual user like myself. Like many chinese technical products, the manual is written in "double-dutch",but it can be decyphered with patience. Will have to see how it lasts over a longer period, but so far, so good.

Very powerful unit, I find the recharge rate very fast. This unit does not look or feel cheep. I've have not used it out in a shoot yet just testing its limits before taking it out but so far I'm impressed. All of the functions work great with the canon t3i. My camera setting allows me to change all the Speedlite variables directly from my cameras menu.

ETTL on my Canon 500D/T1i is absolutely remarkable. I can't wait to get a couple TTL slaves (i like to have the option vs being purely in M mode) and build myself a consumer photo studio. I've only had it out and experimenting with it for a few hours and I couldn't be more pleased. A FANTASTIC first flash for beginners, and because it's a master flash, you can trigger slave flashes to get even more dynamic light in your photos. I am no longer a skeptic, I will be looking at more Andoer products in the future.

This flash is fantastic! The ettl worked for me with no issues on a Canon 70D, I have yet to try all of the functionality of it, but in so far it has worked perfectly for us. We are new to flash photography so we didn't want to spend a fortune on the Canon speedlights. I have no basis for comparison between the Canon units, but these have certainly improved our shots even just shooting on the auto function, and seem pretty easy to configure.

This flash seemed to work ok, but it arrived missing the name plate on the front of the unit, thereby exposing the intricate electrical parts. I looked closely in the packaging for it, but it wasn't there. If I did a lot of indoor work, I might have let this pass, as I'm sure it would have lasted a long time like that.
